HypersomniacLive: Telltale Games reducing the prices permanently? I'm in shock.
Relax! :P When I look at Tales of Monkey Island they seem to compensate that by reducing their discount on sales. As probably nobody bought their games at full price this effectively makes them even more expensive now ($34.99 at 90% discount vs. $19.99 at 75% discount).

You're cruel, I've been in this state for two days now! ;-P

Actually, I have to wonder if there's still anyone that doesn't have them from previous sales/promos.

Me! I did not want to support their price policy. :P

Could this be an error? Doesn't seem in-line with the pricing of the other content for this regions.

GOG making an error? Too unlikely.

It doesn't matter. We've seen this several times before (I think another example is The Escapists). There is simply no logic behind regional pricing. It has nothing to do with fairness or VAT, it's simply about getting the maximum profit possible.

Forgive me, don't know what I was thinking.

Exactly why I'd expect it to be an error.
Base game: $0.70 cheaper
Upgrade to ultimate edition: $0.80 more expensive
Ultimate edition: $2.30 more expensive
Yep, doesn't work out. But who knows...

Well, when you want the maximum profit, it is clever to give a litle discount from time to time. Doing so a lot of people (even the ones from countries who have to pay more in 95% of the cases) will think: "Regional Pricing can't be that bad. After all this game is cheaper for me."
And GB gets charged the most. Again! ) ;
Why is that?

With the way the Euro is going, I expect that early in 2016 only one country will pay more on average than the US: The United Kingdom. Even now the difference for regDE is only +1.1% for the sum of all regionally-priced games.

Why is that?
For the same reason RU is charged the least.

I think you give people too little credit.

The difference being, they're still regionally priced, they just don't come with any FPP.

I know. I'm one of those who has never seen an FPP.
It's sad to see release threads with people claiming that a new game is not regionally priced, just because they see no FPP.
