Well i do have a URL in my tag but somehow it doesn't work. Really this is tiresome. This forum apparently doesn't work as other forums.

I actually have a similar problem, but ONLY if the first word in the sentence is the one I want to add the URL to. So I just put a space before that word and it works...

It's the = in the tag that cause your problem, remove it and it should work.
[ url ] [ /url ] makes a regular link. In your post there's a named link, [ url= ], which means that you need to put an adress inside it to make it work: [ url= adressdotcom]link name[ /url ]. As it is the site only sees the url you put in as the link name since there's no adress in the [ url= ] tag.
I assume that you clicked on the link button when you made your post? It gives the code for a named link, if you just want to post an URL you can just paste the adress and the forum will automatically make it a link.
