colourmyworld: Are the devil may cry games a good port? hoping capcom releases the newer resident evil games at some point. not sure if any are tied to steamworks for leaderboard or multi
The HD releases of 1-3 are decent ports. Not the best, but not terrible. It's good enough for most people, I'd wager; though I personally am sticking to the PS2 versions.

DMC4 is good. There was an issue with Windows 10 systems which I assume has been fixed by now, but the PC version of DMC4 is by far the best.

All in all a disappointing anniversary for me, especially the daily "surprises". :(

Is there a list of all these surprises as GOG as usual is hiding things from us instead of just marking them as expired? I at least missed the one for the 4th of October.

If I am not mistaken the 04.10 surprise was a 20% discount on "The Witcher" merchandise.

Given the games names can be shortened to MOO and MOM I'm slightly disturbed about a potential freudian slip there! XD

Silent Hill f as was teased some time ago on twitter... Well, I'd rather have gotten Total War or some other older games, but this is good too. It's nice that it got released early here on GOG. I probably won't buy it, if only because my potato PC doesn't run modern AAA games, but I do hope it sells well. It was written by one of my favorite writers, Ryukishi07, and very much looks like a mix of two of his works, Higanbana and Higurashi.

All in way, it was a somewhat disappointing anniversary celebration, at least for me, since I'd have hoped for older games or at least a giveaway, but I wish GOG all the best nonetheless. Even if Clair Obscur, Tomb Raider and Silent Hill f aren't for me, I do hope they sell well so GOG can keep expanding and releasing even more games.

Happy anniversary, GOG.

Yeah, if you were to use the promo code 'FreeWilly' you would get some Whale Rock games for free.

Once again, Happy 17th!! Wishing everybody at GOG the very best! Thanks for all of the amazing releases! :D

I purchased the Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy, just to show GOG my support, because I know that my W7 rig cannot possibly handle Lara Croft in HD. LOL! Diddo for Crysis Remastered Trilogy and Viewfinder... purchased as a gesture of support and to enourage GOG to release even more DRM-free stuff. ;) The other releases, namely Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Silent Hill F, were simply beyond my budget at this moment in time.

I wanted a fighting game so much that I'm doing everything I can not buy it on Steam but they continue to not release fighting games, I won't have a choice. :(

nothing to say the anniversary release is incredible but they could have at least made an effort for a fighting game and one day I hope to have new resident evil other than the old classics :)

Honestly while I would have preferred a new release every days I still have to say that it was all in all a pretty good anniversary in the end.

Let's be honest it is not like any of the previous anniversary were earth shattering but here, simply for the 17th one, not even a decade one, we got Expedition 33, rest of TR new Trilogy, rest of Crysis Trilogy and Silent Hill F in a couple of days, plus the usual indies from time to time, so I don't think that realistically you could expected a lot more.
