An event like this happens only once a year – our Anniversary!

We’ve been here for 17 years; that’s quite a lot of time of making games live forever! For this occasion, we prepared something special: even though it’s our birthday, you’re the one getting gifts. Visit our store every day for a surprise!

And of course, here’s some of the deals:
Cyberpunk 2077 (-65%)
Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition (-60%)
Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete (-50%)
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition (-80%)
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition (-35%)
Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition (-25%)
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (-10%)

…and more!

Anniversary ends on October 7th, 7 AM UTC. Check it out!

I thought October 7 was the big final day of the sale. That one last thing was going to be revealed with the whole "coming soon" button that day's banner had. Now it's just a 404 page.

Did I misread/misinterpret something?

It might be a technical glitch in preparation.

It also might be that their behind-the-doors deal fell apart at the last moment, couldn't get a replacement and have to cancel the whole thing.

EverNightX: I do not understand the appeal of horror games whatsoever.
Excuse the food comparison, but horrors games are very much like spicy food, you either like it or not, it's not supposed to give you a "feel good" emotion, but the opposite (to different degrees ofc) so it's completely fine to not like them

That said, there's a huge difference between a spooky witch ride full of jumpscares, which are designed to startle you constantly, and a game with a disturbing mood that can be played just fine while still getting under your nerves

I understand that those stores are

Fireflower Games

and

Zoom Platform

(Mentioned for quick reference)

They give off the feel of personal projects, sustained by love and the ecstasy of rebellion.
The Windows XP aged (looks like) store seems simply practical.
I believe the current one works on modern audience appreciated vibes, and it can only get better, hopefully.

Xeshra: Nah, it will be the only Nihon Falcom game not on GOG, the Trails in the Sky Remake. GungHo even will deeply apologize for not taking the smallest important shop into account including Russian gamers... which has been "deleted" as a matter of a accident; it will now be restored on GOG. As a bonus: They will personally make sure "lupineshadow" will get a Futon such as the one Nihons founder was using.
Don't want the game but won't say no to a free futon thanks!

As others have mentioned, the last surprise could be a store revamp
or maybe the addition of long awaited and much needed community features,
like post /thread deletion and user mute/block (had to be reminded after a long time that it is sadly missing).

Flexing on self-improvement for all of us to marvel in awe.

Would not object to adding the original Commandos games to the preservation program.
They are suffering from horrendous stuttering and input lag.

foad01: You don*t need to delete the post. You just need to edit out the links there.
Or, if the GOG moderators don’t like it, they can edit it out. You’re neither a moderator nor the forum police. If GOG’s fine with the post, it stays. If they’re not, they’ll edit it.

It was just meant to be a hint. That's it. I saw that the hint was superfluous in this case and removed it.

Now we got Silent Hill f as a GOG version, paired with my Steelbook thats everything i was in need for. I do not peek a single time on another shop now... no need.

However... since i am already busy with so many other games and my regional pricing is big, i will delay that one for now.
