Tarnicus: Déjà vu but weren't our names reversed? :P Since I went on my merry silent way months ago, I have noticed your rep going up by the maximum amount every single day. I have coincidentally noticed mine appears to take a hit (I miss the days of 666) even though I have barely posted a thing in months.

After stepping away, the conclusion of "it seriously doesn't matter" sank in. I was a bit sensitive about other things, like you may well be now in life, and it just compounded what was already within, rather than to create it. If you are well liked and help people as you say, keep enjoying yourself as I'm sure has been echoed in almost every thread about rep.

A friend suggested I install this script that hides all rep features. I haven't tried it but it might help.

Sometimes life has a way of smacking one really hard in the face to put the little things in perspective. I hope you don't get a smack like I did recently, as I'd rather be upset about the silly little things again (or even laugh them off) than to experience a loss that I valued far more than rep.

gunsynd: Thanks,had a look at program but need layman's terms to use it.

GR00T: Looks like you have to install a browser extension first. So it depends on what browser you're using as to which extension you want. There's a link right beside the 'Install Script' button. Once you have the extension installed, you can just install the script from the linked page (I believe).

gunsynd: Use Opera,but a bit concerned about the program as to it's possible unknown affects.

GR00T: If it's version 15 or later, you want Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey. As to the script itself, I'm no guru, but it looks fine to my completely untrained eye (I can follow a bit of scripting, but don't take my word on this one). But I'd recommend waiting until an actual script guru can translate it for you.
