Korotan: ~ ZFR vs Trent snip ~
There is a fourth possibility, although I think it's unlikely - they are the scum team and Trent is making a distancing move from the get-go as he is known to be ready to do that if the situation allows or calls for it. But as I said I find it less likely as it seems like a high risk play.

Pookina: (sidenote: I'm serious about townreading ZFR, I don't see him bringing up the prospect of a no-lynch as Mafia in the way that he did it. The suggestion is iffy, but I think it's why a Mafioso ZFR wouldn't open the game with all eyes on him using it.)
There is also WIFOM. Putting in the work as scum, especially when done correctly and on a good enough topic, often can bring Town points exactly because of the way it looks to others. "Why would scum do that and make such an effort if they just need to keep low profile?."

I've seen ZFR do that before, which threw me off back then and I actually lost the game for us over it (the last roulette game I participated in).

I take that back! Sorry, @ZFR.

I checked and it wasn't you who I was thinking of but gogtrial. Still, my general point about WIFOM stands.

Also, if I left the impression that I'm in favor of lynching ZFR over this particular bit about NL - I'm not.

Yeah this WIFOM (though I have no idea what it stands for) have I listed as a possibilty. Though option 4 seems really likely for me too. Because I and I thank mayn other too would not believe, this is a coop and so whoever gets lynched it would be a win because then you would not suspect that this other whas of the same team too.
From this point you could mayby be one too, because as a scum it would only benefit you to bring you out of suspicion. Though this could be used by a scum too and if I would it not know better I would think of myself with all this, But the other side, talk as a scum because I try to look innocent with pointing all those possibiliest out.
Dammit before I whas happy that I am finally not mistaken for scum and now I suspect myself.

Korotan: What is Princess Bride-ism?
I dunno...that's the first time i've heard that term tbh.

As for WIFOM, some more info from one of the wikis: Wine In Front Of Me, or WIFOM, is the term given to any argument that asks why another player has acted in a specific manner.
Are GamesRater and GymHanson one and the same person? Because what Gym wrote is one and the same that GamesRater wrtoe before he editet.

Okay. Well back to topic the Princess bride ism can talked about elsewhere.
More importantly, can you elaborate whine for me more. My english skill test whas not succesful, or mayby had only one succuss which whas not enough.

Wine is an alcoholic beverage usually made from fruit. The word Wine in the term WIFOM refers to the scene in the film "The Princess Bride" where two of the characters have to choose between two glasses of wine...at least one of which has poison in it....as part of a "test".

The characters then play mind games with each other, as one of the bad guys tries to guess which glass the good guy put the poison in.

In terms of the mafia games, afaik it refers to people trying to puzzle out other player's reasons for doing things(and if that makes those players town or scum).

It's not whine as in someone complaining but wine as the alcoholic beverage. There is this scene in the movie where one character is supposed to figure out which drink of the two he needs to chose from has been poisoned. There is this long chain of logic along the lines of "Normally you'd do X but you know I know you'd normally do that so you'd do the opposite to throw me off. But you know that I know that you know that I know, so you'd do the normal thing to double-throw me off" and so on.

Basically the abbreviation means it's not a great idea to make assumptions based solely on what someone would or wouldn't do in a specific situation because they may be doing it exactly because they expect that to be conceived in a certain manner.

Okay so I understood now, that is the drink and not the act of crying ment. But why is there a word for an action that is normal to do? Or do I still need to dive deeper and experience first hand to grasp it?

You mean the term WIFOM?

It likely exists, in part, to make it easier to play...its easier to type out WIFOM than it is to type out the idea behind it. Also players like acronyms I guess. :)

Ah so mere optimation and nothing more. Okay this will be long to understand but I know now where I should start.
Well right now I have nothing to say anymore about the game until someone else say it.
