GameRager: Secret HITLER? Is that even a thing? Seems odd given current year.
Yes! In fact, I like it more than Mafia. On that Discord I mentioned, we've been finishing a game and immediately another one starts up, all seats filled. The biggest problem is that the game is designed with 10 players max, and we've got a lot of interested players over there.

I'm guessing some people dislike the nomenclature used? BTW how does it work? Similar to secret santa?
Hmmmm. This is all in character for Scene, but I'm not seeing a huge amount that looks AI to me. He tends to ask odd questions that are answered in the OP in pretty much every game.

Secret Santa has nothing to do with Secret Hitler at all.
Here's an example of a Secret Hitler game. Long story short, the game has two factions, and only two: Liberals and Fascists. The Liberals are like Townies and the Fascists are like the Mafia, but the Fascists have one special player among their ranks: Hitler. The goal of the Fascists is to get Hitler elected as Chancellor. It's a long story, so if you want to, I'll be happy to expand it over DM.

----
As for the game itself, I don't really have great feelings about Scene. He begins with questioning how reading about the roles would only help Mafia and not Town, therefore, gogtrial is coaching the scum in daylight. What.

After realizing how complex Mafia can be for a newbie, I have got to say, the Mafia Wiki is one of the best things that happened to online Mafia. I don't think reminding others to read about the current setup is Alignment Indicative, and anybody could advise that, town or scum.

I'm inclined towards believing you're scum, scene, trying to find any reason to get a Day 1 mislynch wagon rolling, no matter how flimsy. Then again, I would love to believe you're actually Town and you've yet again stumbled on something you consider is a tell. One never knows with how you think.
Bump
Damn me, I forgot to put the link to the Secret Hitler game in my previous post.

There.

NP, and thanks for the info and links.

SirPrimalform: ..........

so is this LAMIST?

..............
I think it's Les Mis....something about the French and sandwiches.
I’ve momentarily stepped away from playing Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden to catch up (highly recommend the game). As of right now my biggest suspect is Scene. The OP clearly states the setup and how everything was determined, yet Scene is trying to put doubt out there about the setup and it seems to me he’s trying to create an issue where there is none. The more we talk about non issues the easier it is for scum to hide.

He also made my eyebrows raise when he tried to accuse gogtrial of using other people’s opinions as a basis for his arguments when that was clearly not the case at all.

(When you see a vote count please quickly make sure your vote is against the correct player. Let me know if it's not)

scene 4 - Bookwyrm, agentcarr, gogtrial, trent
flub 1 - SirPrimalform
blotunga 1 - JoeSapphire
gogtrial 1 - scene
Micro 1 - Pooka

Everyone else - 0
Not voting: Micro, flub, blotunga, dedoporno, GameRager

13 players left. It takes 7 to lynch.
scene is closest at L-3
I just has time to catch up, so here are my thoughts.

Most people seem in the RVS mode, fishing, so nothing to say there yet.

The scene wagon is an interesting thing. Though scene is not new to Mafia, he goes out with some half-ass assumptions, likely without thinking about it from all angles. Does that make him scum?

Ofc the people voting for him might be right, the setup is pretty clear and zfr said there are no twists. So depending on the draw we have exactly what's described on the Mafiawiki about C++9.

Since there are no better wagons yet and I rather not no-lynch at the RVS:

And why vote for Scene? It's two days in and he's already got a wagon at FIVE votes! Two more and he'll be good as dead.

Seriously, something is wrong about that wagon. It's quickly accelerating to the full SEVEN votes without any sign of the brakes being slammed.

Remember that the end of Day 1 won't come "before next Saturday" in ZFR's words. Scene does seem to be scummy, but we've more to gain from letting him live until a day before the official deadline, rather than lynching him now (and giving scum the leverage to either eliminate a Townie playing strangely or bussing one of their own). Four votes this early on with trent's was already a stretch. Now five?

Well, I do think there are scum on scene's wagon, and while he seems fishy, not yet lynchable for sure. Unfortunately with the likelyhood of a godfather, we can't even trust investigaitons.
Very well, holding the guns for now

unvote scene
5 pages already! :O I just got here. Will have to read and catch p, but meanwhile

vote ZFR
So the observation I held back in Post 34 was that Trent voted for the Mod. I thought this was perhaps a way of being agreeable and non confrontational. It wasn't particularly significant and I wanted to see how his game developed

Not what Scene always says 'it's interesting to see how wagons grow'. And all of a sudden I have a wagon of 5 (which has just dropped to 4) after being the most active and dare I say analytical poster. At least the first poster who had a serious vote. Let's see how this grew:

Bookwyrm - says he's frustrated. The less suspicious on the wagon as he's voter one

AgentCar - moves the wagon to 2 because of my walls of text. States he knows he's bringing the wagon to 2. It's not analytical

Gogtrial - Now this is somewhat significant, a third vote on Day 2. Gogtrial states he knows it's a third vote. He has checked with Bookwyrm prior to his vote to ask 'is this a serious vote'. If Gogtrial is fascist this would be a good way to feel out allies for a potential lynch. Gogtrial doesn't vote for me after our initial interraction only after the votes move to 2. Why didn't he vote for me initially if he thought it seemed suspect? Why ask everyone what they thought of my posts instead of stating what he thought? Questions can be a good way of disgusing intention.

Trent - This is the most significant vote as it takes the wagon to 4. He only does this after Pooka states he suspects I'm scum. Trent's claiming I'm arguing about the set up. I'm not I'm highlighting Gogtrial potentially coaching mafia players. Which could be a mistake on my part but let's be accurate about what's being discussed. I'm asking why Gogtrial needs to ask other players opinions about my posts rather than forming his own. Yet to Trent this is suspect. Is this disingenous?

Blotunga - takes the wagon to 5 and knows Pooka has said he suspected me. His whole analysis seems to be basing it on Trent's assumption that I'm questioning the set up, when in fact. He then unvotes when Pooka asks him if the wagon looks suspect. Did he unvote because he didn't want to make himself look bad? He even states 'there's probably fascists on the wagon but Scene looks fishy'. Why would there be fascists on my wagon if I was fascist on Day 2? It's almost like he knows it's a misslynch

I tend to think 2 of Gogtrial, Trent, Blotunga and Agent are fascist or SK. Agent looks less suspect as he only took the vote to 2. So if I get lynched on Day 1 - please look at Gogtrial, Trent, Blotunga throughout this game

gogtrial34987: @scene: For rereading purposes, are you able to list offhand which regular mafia (non-SH) games you were town in?
I forget the numbers but the first game I played that Joe modded and the game I got Night Killed on Day 1 that Lift modded
