Meh, I consider it the only installation option. And of course I keep the installer around (more or less), quite useful when I want to play the game on another machine, or a reinstall is needed, or whatever. The opposite's kinda like game streaming, which seems fairlly absurd to me. And not wanting to deal with bullshit like this is why I've joined GOG in the first place. So it kinda seems sad that Galaxy's being pushed so heavily. But at least it's not bundled with games anymore, apparently?

Oh well, the good thing it's only one click now, supposing it remembers my choice to collapse the display of installers! :D
So I just downloaded and when I go to sign in and put my information in it tells me that an error occurred at sign in.
I did a search in this topic for the keyword 'icon' and didn't notice this issue being mentioned (or if it was, not in a manner that I realized it was referencing what I'm about to describe) but for some reason my installation of the client refuses to use the "GOG Icon" for it's icon and instead seems to use a random game icon.

I'm not sure when this started to be an issue, I noticed it when I opened the client last week that the icon it was using was the Gwent icon and thought maybe it was a promotion of some sort. But when it didn't stop, I uninstalled Gwent to see if that would fix the issue and now when the client pops open it's using the icon for Acanum: Of Steamworks and Majick Obscura.

Is this something that is already 'known' or should I be going in and doing a bug report of some sort.
It boggles my mind that GOG has managed to make and put up a mac version, yet they still refuse to start working on the Linux version....
my first thread visit
I'm really dissapointed with Galaxy. Doesn't count stats when offline. Kinda retarded.

It boggles your mind that they make versions for platforms in an order according to the number of people who use them? Should they have made a version for GNU+Linux first, even though the least amount of people are using it?
Your mind boggle boggles my mind. ;3
Hi GOG galaxy

Is there any chance that you might be uploading final fantasy 7 anytime soon as I share many good memories as a kid playing that game. Already reliving so many due to the amazing games you have uploaded on here!

Cheers Simon
I was considering installing Galaxy. I'm wondering if the Cloud Saving is optional? I absolutely don't want to have Cloud Save forced on me. I wasn't clear which features were optional from reading the Galaxy information page and the Cloud Save link in OP is a list of games with Cloud Save, afaik.

Thanks

Please someone respond, same problem.
Thanks Aramandur! o/

Hopefully one day there will be a wiki of sorts, with pics such as yours.
I rebooted the computer and that solved the locked up Galaxy problem.

But now games have justed started giving a "searching for files list"
message and won't start downloading.

Guess I'll reboot again and see if that solves this problem.
I turned on my computer a few minutes ago, and it got the dreaded "GOG Galacy can't connect and must close" error message. I too managed to fix the problem by restarting my computer, but now I'm curious just what caused this problem.
