Enjoy!
And DOS games wont launch from the client now
Edit: At least if you are using other dosbox executable as it seems. I just verify the files and now they work.

DOSBox games (of which I have dozens) are *mostly* updating successfully, finally, today.

Ever since Gog added the cloud save feature to DOSBox, Galaxy tried and failed to update each and every one of those many games every time it was restarted...until today's Galaxy release.

Oh wait. There are a few failures: Theme Hospital still fails to update, Also Might & Magic 4-5. And Ultima VII The Black Gate. And Ultima VII Serpent Isle.

When I look at them in my library those 2 Ultima VII games are marked "SERVER PROBLEM RETRY" -- but clicking 'retry' fails again.

Theme Hospital and Might and Magic 4-5 says "Installation failed: disk access problem" -- which used to be the error on ALL DOSBox games until today.

But dozens of others did finally update, so, progress.

Windows 7, 25 gigabytes free disk, antivirus realtime protection turned off (besides, most games updated).

EDIT: FIXED...since there were only half a dozen games failing to update this time, I tried fiddling with them some more, and this time, Verify/Repair fixed each of them, where it originally didn't with the Mar 21 2019 bug introduced with DOSBox cloud save.

I shouldn't have to, of course. If Verify is the magic fix, then Galaxy should do that when an update fails.

But whatever, thanks for today's 90% fix, and for apparently a 100% fix for the "not-showing-that-I-own-games in a sale" bug.

Dear All,
Do you know if there is a way to wipe out all "recent game activity" from profile which was generated from GOG Galaxy stats. I know about Galaxy settings, but the history is killing me, I don't want my friend to find out that I played Saints Row 2 for instance (for reasons), I also don't want to be reminded that I played that game at all.

Good question. I just went and looked at Galaxy's files and its registry entries, and maybe I didn't investigate in a smart way, but I couldn't even find where it stores this kind of information.

If you find any answer related to these issues, please post it here.

Because they are not stored on your PC but sent directly to GOG servers. In my case it's a clean PC with no Galaxy. You can log in to your account around the world and get the very same profile information. So the only way is to try tech. support which I'm going to do right now.

Aha, that explains it. Thanks.

In any case, for what you need, it really should be an account setting, of course. I guess that would require adding new fields to the user database, on top of the UI changes. Not rocket science, but...

All I need is a big button "Reset game stats" something like reset the call timers in smartphones. Unfortunately there are not that many users with such special needs.

Got a response from GOG staff (2 days ago). It seems that they are ready to proceed with my request, just requested me a small clarification. So far GOG support team is doing great. Will keep you posted.

That's great that they responded within a few days; thanks for the update.
How can I stop my games from downloading the Gog Galaxy connect feature? I simply want to play my games on my computer, and I do not play any online games, or games against other opponents as I'm too old and dont have the patience for that. LOL Thank you.
Hello!

I've a question, it's Gog galaxy "cloud save" feature compatible when you start the game from Steam Big Picture?

When I want to play The Witcher 3 in my TV, I use Big Picture from steam (cause I don't have any mouse or keyboard), so I've created the "non steam game" and added The Witcher 3 (downloaded from gog).

If gog Galaxy remains Open in background, is the game saved on the cloud? or you neccesary need to start it from gog galaxy?

Thanks!
I´m getting an update error and the notification to reinstall the client yet it´s the latest version (May 6th).
Anybody got a clue what´s going on, client works normally after the failed updating shenanigans are over.
Happens on every launch now.

When you're in your games list on www.gog.com/account and choose your game, instead of clicking the blue button to install it, click "download offline backup game installers".
