== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

gaddarmice: Is there any update about in-game overlay?
avatar
Venom: It will be released in one of the upcoming updates.
Definitely looking forward to that. Primary overlay features of importance that I'd prefer to have are screenshots, FPS counter, and video broadcasting capability, but also friend-chat although I don't currently use that on GOG, but hope to in the future. :) Would rather wait for it to be as feature complete and bug free as possible though than get it too early hehehe. :)

avatar
gaddarmice: Is there any update about in-game overlay? Because there is active check box available in Settings screen. I don't remember if it's already been active before latest 1.0.5.11 update. If so which button combination is activating it?
Just pure speculation on my part, but I'd assume they probably would use the same keys Steam uses because it's somewhat of a defacto standard already and no sense doing things differently just to be different, better to re-use existing defacto interface keys, only differentiating where it offers something unique there is no precedence for, or where changes might bring forth innovation and better experience. So I'd assume it will be SHIFT+TAB for the overlay, F12 for screenshots, etc. probably configurable somewhere in settings.

Getting a few issues now, client always starts in windowed mode even though I had it set to full screen when I closed it. I'm also not getting game icons on the left for a few games when I was before, like the Witcher Adventure Game, Mount and Blade, & Mark of the Ninja.

I would report but I'm on Windows 10, anyone else getting these issues?

Sadly on Windows it still doesn't track my game time at all :( The option in settings is grayed out and unchecked, while on my Mac it is also grayed out, but checked, There it would track my gametime. Is there any way to maybe actiavate it in some setting file?

Game time tracking in windows is greyed out under settings because you can't disable it yet, but it should still work... are you signed in and connected online when you play? You are launching the games within Galaxy when you play?

Yep I'm signed in and start my games through Galaxy. I tried Heroes 3, Wing Commander, Tie Fighter, Witcher 3, Sim City 2000 and Little Big Adventure. The checkbox is greyed out and it is unchecked

Yea mine is greyed out and unchecked too, as I said it's because we can't disable it yet or at-least that is what I assume. My game time is working fine though in nearly every game I've played and they have fixed the one thing I had issue with, which was it taking a long time to update.

You might want to report it on mantis if it's still like that after today's update along with your logs....

I've checked game tracking feature on our side, and it works correctly. It's not possible to disable specified feature yet - it's why a checkbox in Settings dialog is greyed out. Could you report this issue to mantis, please? We will take a look a deeper look. Have a nice weekend!

Good info, not sure why I was quoted... I didn't have the issue. xD

Anyway Szulak, can you check the server and make sure the game icons (pics on the left next to the game title) are working right, that the client is downloading them... I missing icons for a few games after the recent update that were there before and Galaxy can't seem to download them again.
