Rodzaju: By agreement of all 3 League officials, Iippo & E_A will replay their match on Tuesday, before the day ends.

This seems the best way to deal with a service interruption.

Should this happen to you, please make sure that your opponent has time for a rematch & notify the admin's (Myself, Piranjade & Iippo).

Thank you.
My work collegue just told me I need to do some roadside signboard measurements between Tampere and Turku tomorrow. So unless things go more bonkers, ill be home by 20:00 finnish time and still be able to play - but it looks like its going to be pretty late.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, but cant really fight against work (or wife for that matter).

Anyways, as I will be doing some GPS measuring ill have my location data to proove that i am not hidinf on purpose ;)

I hope late time wont be problem for E_A.

-----

Anyways, i think we are going to need some clear rules concerning disconnection, not showing ups and so on the first post. Ill discuss this later with the co-admins and ofcourse everyone are can and -should- tell their own opinions here on the forum.

'My personal' opinion is that id like to priorize the league moving forward at the cost of everything else. This means, i am hoping we can set rules that are "Fair enough" - i am certain people are going to have problems later on as well which is just normal - but the rules have to be then clear so that there wont be too much philosophic thinking what is something "fair" or not >> because this leads easily to situation where we start making exceptions in name of 'fairness', which then leads to someone else feeling cheated because they were treated differently in similar situation.

So the main questions are (tell me if i am missing something!):

A) Disconnection / internet disruption.

B) Opponent doesnt show up on agreed time.

C) Cannot contact opponent to arrange match in the first place.

D) Both players "disappear"
-----

Again 'my opinions' on these are as follows (input wanted):

A) Players have full rematch > if they cannot agree on new match time, the autowin stands (this saves player state).

Reasoning = The match was played and i dont see it right to punish the one with working internet. I would encourage the rematch, but if it cannot be arranged > autowin stands. Rash? Maybe, but keeps things on rolling forward and hopefully encourages people to have their matches early, so that they have time to arrange new one if things go wrong for one reason or another.

B) If players cannot agree upon rematch time, 0-2 admin adjusted win for the one who showed up.

C) 0-2 admin adjusted win for the one player who cannot contact his opponent in time and lets the admins know about this in advance. Posting on the forum if you cannot contact your opponent in about 4 days time is encouraged. Missing multiple matches without giving the admins valid reason may lead to kicking off the tournament -> admin discreation.

D) 0-0 admin adjusted draw.

-----

So write your opinions, i dont want to be one bit more dictator than i have to be :)

I dont think this forum lets us do polls?

I happen to agree with all of these.
I'm a bit concerned about the disconnect thing. Not everybody in all parts of the world has reliable internet and if the match is going well for that player accepting the autowin or doing a replay might be a bitter pill to swallow.

If a "re-make" of the game is possible that would save nerves and (compared to a replay) time for both players.
Let each other do the TDs as they were before the connection was lost, replace the CASs with passes.
This might even be a good thing for the player who would have gotten the autowin.

Of course I can understand that if the match was going well and the other person lost the internet connection it is tempting to say that accepting the autowin or doing a replay are the only ways to go but honestly I wouldn't feel good about it if the match was going badly for me, my opponent lost the connection, we do a replay and I cripple her/ his team.

i was just speaking about this in the game with E_A - the biggest obstacle there in my opinion is handling of CAS, i am not speaking of SPP, but deaths/missed games and all that. ofcourse its possible none of that has happened in the particular game.

Anyways, in case of the net cuts off - it would also be easier if we have certain process how to do after it, instead of thinking about it too much every single time - then there also the fact how the next opponent feels.

well, its not like the winner of league is getting million euros for doing so, but i AM hoping everyone will have FUN despite how their bers...players get killed of in every game.

But like i said, my opinions are my opinions - we can make a poll, if someone knows a good way to organize one and see what the general opinion is.

However is decided, it just want the rules to be crystal clear in this regard, its never nice when not only the opponent, but the next one as well have bad feeling afterwards. ...but ofcourse this is just my own thinking.

Everyone ofcourse knows that ultimately the game results lie in the Nuffles hands - so its just all about maximazing he fun of it ;)

That was a brutal rematch!!

I've just played an open league game against Piranjade.
She suffered something like 7 badly hurts there, but at least none of those have any lasting consequences.
I think every player on both sides of your game that got hurt ended up with at least a MNG....
----

I just played rematch against E_A and by Nuffle's will managed to snatch 3-0 victory for the mighty Norse!

....at the cost of one dead berserker (again) and one Ulffie + lineman missing the next game ...so three substitute linemen for me in the next game :) If i keep losing my positionals at this rate, i have no idea how i am supposed to beef up the team...but atleast norse substitutes come with block if nothing else.

Two of E_A's pitfighter cultists got pummeled for -1 MA both.

Ive upped both the disrupted games and todays rematches replays to g-drive. Link on the first post...and here:

...well, we could hardly call this game blood bowl anyways if it was AV12 for everyone :)

That last touchdown was a bit cheeky!

When are you going to join the open access league?

well, when i have time ill gladly have a match, but with one tournament going on with friends and our weekly one, i need to be pretty careful not to upset my wife playing too late too often :)

but i will do it when opportunity presents itself..

And it's also possible that none of those will happen in the replay even if they happened in the original match. A replay doesn't have a more "fair" result in that regard.

Maybe we could make a "re-make" ruling for those cases when the person who lost the internet hasn't suffered any permanent CASs (starting with "miss next game") and is clearly winning (at least two TDs ahead at a time of the game when the opponent scoring two or more TDs is at leat highly unlikely).

For cases where the person with the lost connection was loosing anyway she/he has to accept the autowin or beg the opponent for a rematch (which she/he doesn't have to give, of course.)

I guess that accepting an autowin/possible rematch for a lost connection is easier when your were on the loosing track while you might just feel really angry/bad/sad when it happens when you were blessed by Nuffle in that game.

well, getting killed twice in row and getting mvp for it just points the threat he posed to Nuffle himself :)

It looks like DodoGeo had and still has problem contacting his opponent.
So the situation is that I tried contacting my opponent this weekend and didn't receive any response.
Yesterday I was at work for 24h and I see today that he added me to his friend list, but he's offline for the last 19 hours.

Just to clarify, I don't want an automatic win for this. I'm here for the GOG community, not really intent on winning anything.

Not very good situation unfortunately, unless your opponent can find himself really soon.

Anyway, if he cannot play we'll just have to give you the 0-2 win to keep things on moving forward - its too bad no-one can hijack his team for just one game :)

But please do keep us, or atleast one of the admins posted on how it goes. Hopefully he'll turn on on last second..

btw Blood Bowl chaos edtion is at -66% discoun (10,19€) t on steam frontpage, midweek madness.

For the new players out there: This guy makes some of the most educational videos on BloodBowl available on Youtube. He recently started to do beginners primers. Here's the first of hopefully many:

Also have a look at his commented games. You'll learn a lot just by watching him think.
