Ki11s0n3: Seems like a pretty fun game, though not really pulling me in to go out and spend $20-30 on it, but I am interested in seeing you guys play if you record your matches.
avatar
Rodzaju: All the matches are recorded, but I think you need Blood Bowl (either legendary or chaos edition) to be able to load & watch them.
ah well that kinda sucks
I guess maybe I will have to try and save up for it then

Hawk52: I think every other team should come to an agreement to kill as many of them as possible. Eradicate the entire species.

WBGhiro: You'll have to make it past the Ogres first =P
well i dont have much choice in that regard as i am playing in the next round :(

I was just explaining Rod yesterday how my reasoning behind choosing the glass-jawwed was about teaching myself to "love the team, not the players". Kind of resign to that ill eventually lose players to that av7, period.

Guns blazing to oblivion and have while doing it yes?

So i kind of thought it would be something like this:

Well, atleast the 'Tap Water Elemental' finally joined my beer flavored team, i hope he lives long enough to be worth his GP unlike certain berseker :)

The newest version, chaos edition can be bought for 10e at the cyanide's own web page if you get your hands on either basic or legenadry editions cdkey. It redeems on steam. Also steam itself puts the game on sale quite often and i think it has usually cost that 10e then as well.

i have unfortunately given my boxed versions cdkeys to my friends already, so i am all out of those :(

Oh you're worried? And I thought being able to field only 3 ogres against an entire block team, plus a st5 claw guy might not be the best match for me ;)

Meybe you should consider your battle hyms, coach of the bearded.

You really shouldn't say that before going up against Ogres, Nuffle may think it's a challenge =D

Anyways, i am well aware my dread of ogres isnt rational - its just that when i played my very first matches of BB (both against comp and human) i was always playing teams like orcs and dwarfs with av9 - so i didnt really care about getting knocked down. ...av7 against mighty blow feels just kinda...ominous. Well, we'll see - you never know how nuffle is going to give out those rolls after all :)

---

Also i feel bit silly, i just understood couple days ago that the injury and casulties tables are quite different - getting those badly hurts *shouldnt be* as common even against av7 as i thought at first.

Speaking about av7, ive played with the idea of trying the regular elven team some time - but somehow it feels tad watered down compared to the other three elven races to me. Kind of sad really.

A question about the leagues long term plan:

We are ofcourse eventually going to start the second season, what is everyones opinion about allowing first season teams to continue in second season?

Personally, i approve this. I have no idea whether i grow bored of the norse during first season or not - but i will eventually seriously consider another team just for the sake of trying them out.

I would have no issue about playing new TV1000 team against much more experience team, as the game DOES give inducements for the underdog.

Opinions?

iippo: Opinions?
Sounds good to me, it will probably be a bit tiresome to play against Morg'n'Thorg every other game, but I think it would be worth it for the sake of having a more diverse league.
I'm in favour of allowing teams to continue over seasons, but also of allowing existing players to change teams between season, if they so choose.

What I can foresee & am not in favour of is players saying "You're allowing experienced teams. Here's a team I have grown in another league. I want to bring this team in."

I would suggest that existing coaches have the choice of keeping their existing teams or starting a new one.
New coaches would need a new team.

That would be my thoughts exactly.
I would love to play a different team, just to try out new styles of gameplay and just to see what a different team just plays like. Chaos is very vanilla...it can be whatever you want it to be essentially, on the other hand though it is difficult to find the right niche for them to fit into I guess.

...well you just block/mighty blow/claw/piling on to every player and at some point someone will want to do the "soap in a sock" thing to you ;)

I am playing chaos in league with friends that is kind of stuck atm, hopefully we'll get it rolling again - but i really DO love the fact that any chaos player can become something great with good rolls.

Although the last match i had against you left me kind of "i want to learn to pass consistently" feeling ;)

You can find a lot of BB games on youtube. I like this guy who also runs a great commentary on the tactics of the game during play (and speaks a really well-understandable British English).

If we're pimping LP'ers, check out Veriax. His LP of Blood Bowl is the entire reason I got really into it, and into this league.

Alright I will check em out, though I meant I wanted to watch you guys specifically but that should tide me over until I can manage to get a copy of the game for myself.
