It's more like they're trying to pretend that whole WW2 mess never happened. Which is... questionable too, to say the least.

I never understood this particular paranoia. As long as the game ( or other media in question ) isn't obvious Neo-Nazi propaganda, I don't see why it's such a big deal.

Lawmakers are old people trying to push the whole WW2 affair under the rug.

Lawyers and politicians are able to read and react, but not to comprehend and think something through.
If it says "no depiction of nazi related symbolism", they don't ask why or in which case.
Even the freedom to use it in art had to be achieved with an effort and "Maus" is an excellent example of how people here are very ban-happy. "Ban it!" is more of a reflex from the officials here.

GOG tried that same angle when they put regional pricing on Witcher 2 (a user shouldn't have to declare that he is from Europe, just because their IP say so); the courts disagreed.

Yeah you can buy edibles (I suggest either Kiva and Korova brands, edibles from outside CA are amazingly hit or miss.) gel caps (usually in very low doses 5-10mg each, which is far too low to feel) and tinctures (alcohol suspentions you can hold under your tongue or add to a beverage). In addition to those if you can only get raw flowers a vaporizer is an amazing investment. Besides being more efficient with your cannabis, most of the nasty ash and other carbon stay in the plant matter instead of combusting in to smoke. My particular vaporizer fills bags, and then I can put the bags through a standing water pipe ("bong") and cool the sub combustion temperature vapor. And Utah will probably have medical by 2020.

Tannath: It's not that simple. The reunification only took place in 1989, for instance. Nazism and WW2 are still very sensitive subjects in Germany, or so it seems to a layman like me (I'm european and I've been to Germany once, but that's it). Then again, the same can be said of many other european countries.
Oh, I do realize. But that's even more to the point. I can understand that they're still touchy, but this is more about the violence.

Germans pretend that whole WW2 mess never happened? The man who has the most TV performances in Germany is the Fuhrer! Different studies show that Adolf Hitler appears twice (average) per day in the german television.
He also appears once a week in magazines (can't find the source atm)

One of the reasons why nobody watches this and why I hated history class at school although (or because) I like to learn stuff from the past (which is a rather longer period of time...).

Well, I guess they need someone/something to be proud of. At least it's some kind of achievement, even if it's the negative kind. It's either Adolf or Dieter Bohlen -- not the best of options.

I stopped watching TV though, so I wouldn't really know. :P

In addition, you can get Marinol pills prescribed by a doctor. I assume they are available anywhere in the US because it (synthesized THC) is only classed as a Schedule III substance. Which is where marijuana will be fairly soon.

I took one once (received in partial payment for computer repairs) and it kicked my ass. No doubt the therapeutic effects were the same as non-synthesized THC, because the non-therapeutic effects were totally there.

Or you can just join us here in Washington. Or Colorado or Alaska. Or any medicinal states. :)

You introduced regional pricing and regional locks contrary to your original mission statement. Thats 2 strikes mate, if you start to remove games from peoples shelves than I would have little choice but to remove my support of GOG.

Why buy Marinol (dronabinol)(which isn't a synthetic cannabanoid (it's lab synthesized delta9 THC just like you find in the plant) JWH, UR, AM,and CP families of drugs are syntetic cannabanoids)) when it's 25 times as expensive as actual cannabis and lacks half a dozen know cannabanoids that exist in raw cannabis and are known to have an effect on the body (CBC, CBN, and tetrahydrocanna ovarian for examples). Save for the rapidly diminishing legal barriers for those that are concerned by them.

I was just trying to get OldFatGuy beyond those legal barriers because he is being denied medicine by his state and national governments that very well could help him.
