Humans, Xenomorphs, Hunters - one of them is the deadliest species in the Universe!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000, a suspenseful Sci-Fi first-person shooter with three very different single-player campaigns, one for each species, and a frantic multiplayer mode, is available FREE for 48 hours on GOG.com, as a part of our GOG Galaxy beta tests!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000. It's been updated for modern systems and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller. The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey. Deathmatch, Species Deathmatch, Predator Tag, and Cooperative modes avait for you in the multiplayer section!

How to get the game for free? Simply sign up for the next stage of GOG Galaxy beta tests and an e-mail with your activation code will be sent to you within the next few days. You'll be helping us to analyze and improve the performance of the multiplayer component of GOG Galaxy, our DRM-free online gaming platform, by playing this acclaimed dynamic first person shooter! The game will be added to your account and yours to keep forever. Don't wait - you can only sign up until Friday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT.
We're started sending out the last (and the biggest) batch of keys - essentially everyone who signed up should be getting their key in the matter of the next few hours (we really have a A LOT of signups :).

Although the game includes full single player campaign, we'd most appreciate if you could please join or host a multiplayer match today - our reason behind this give-away was to test Galaxy multiplayer in the first place :). In case of problems or if you want to share feedback, please use our dedicated forum: http://www.gog.com/forum/aliens_versus_predator_classic_2000

PS: If you won't get your key by end of Tuesday, please do:
1. check your spam folder - if our mail isn't there, then
2. contact our Support

My word, my favorite game of all time...and I cannot get it. Well, it's in my top ten favorite games, and I been busy the past three days, and when I get back to see this...it angers me. I know you won't give me a free key, even if I make an account, but I only want you to get the game to be purchasable on GOG for...5-10 bucks. I will buy that game, someday I would, if it's on GOG.com. So please tell me it will be on GOG, and if not, then I shall be sad to hear that.

It will be available later for $6 (probably next week).
Will the AvP/GOG Galaxy beta still be available for next week?

HG1995: How long does it take to get a conformation email after sign up?
Signed up 4 - 5 hours ago.

Destro: There is no confirmation email after signup - you will get an email together with the code (if you're worried if we have your email you can try signing up for the beta again - it will tell you if the email exists).

Codes wise: although we sent some codes today, and will send more tomorrow to check for any potential networking issues, majority of codes will be sent after our signups conclude and once we have any potential issues ironed out, to try to generate as big stress test as possible... which probably will be after the weekend, not before - be patient please :)
I'm all for GOG's long term success in the market, to that end GOG really needs to send a CONFIRMATION e-mail when people enter a contest /promo/ sign up for something.

Does it cost to send a e-mail these days?

(Several years ago the US Postal Service was trying to push thru a small "fee" for each e-mail sent. - Most likely rasing that "fee" as time when on.
Glad that didn't go thru.)

My interest in the issue is I have not received a key, and if a snafu (Screw-up) occurs with no confirmation e-mail I have no way to prove I entered during the timeframe allotted.

PS: For a example of NOT do a promo, how to weasel out of giving out keys, check out GreenManGaming (GMG) when they do a contest.... they let a contest roll-on after they've run out of keys, using the excuse they only have so many keys per country (Which is probably true) but do not state which countries have run out of keys..

Your IP address tells which country you're in, so if "your" country is out of keys... you should be informed up such up front.

To be honest, I also had a busy week and the free time I did have, I spent it playing borderlands: the pre-sequel... :P
Why did I not get key/game yet? It is -way- past its due date; No email about it or nothing, not a word. I put my email address a couple of days ago and tried to put it in again to see if it went through and it did and now nothing. So what is going on?

I also signed up day 1. I don't have a key yet either. I know that feel bro.
Where do I download the Galaxy client? I received the code for AvP but I see no mention of where to download the client.

(And no, I don't want to test the game. Just wanted to see how well the client work)

One of the GOG Team said earlier in this thread that the client is bundled with the game. After installing the game you get two launch icons: AvP Classic 2000, and AvP Classic 2000 - Galaxy Client. Don't ask me why they decided to do this for the testing, but apparently full release of the Galaxy Client will be a a separate download. I went back to see if I could find this quote, but I couldn't find it after a few minutes, so I thought I would just reply with what I remembered.
Still nothing, an hour after they posted on Facebook I signed up. I even tried a second time to confirm it went through. How are we supposed to take part in the 48 hour Multiplayer when we don't even have our codes to download?
Signed, no key. no link to where to get the beta client.
