Humans, Xenomorphs, Hunters - one of them is the deadliest species in the Universe!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000, a suspenseful Sci-Fi first-person shooter with three very different single-player campaigns, one for each species, and a frantic multiplayer mode, is available FREE for 48 hours on GOG.com, as a part of our GOG Galaxy beta tests!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000. It's been updated for modern systems and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller. The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey. Deathmatch, Species Deathmatch, Predator Tag, and Cooperative modes avait for you in the multiplayer section!

How to get the game for free? Simply sign up for the next stage of GOG Galaxy beta tests and an e-mail with your activation code will be sent to you within the next few days. You'll be helping us to analyze and improve the performance of the multiplayer component of GOG Galaxy, our DRM-free online gaming platform, by playing this acclaimed dynamic first person shooter! The game will be added to your account and yours to keep forever. Don't wait - you can only sign up until Friday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT.
We're started sending out the last (and the biggest) batch of keys - essentially everyone who signed up should be getting their key in the matter of the next few hours (we really have a A LOT of signups :).

Although the game includes full single player campaign, we'd most appreciate if you could please join or host a multiplayer match today - our reason behind this give-away was to test Galaxy multiplayer in the first place :). In case of problems or if you want to share feedback, please use our dedicated forum: http://www.gog.com/forum/aliens_versus_predator_classic_2000

PS: If you won't get your key by end of Tuesday, please do:
1. check your spam folder - if our mail isn't there, then
2. contact our Support

I am more curious about this platform. From what I've understood it will be similar to Steam, but you won't have to be online, drm free and other things. I also have seen something about integration with other platforms like Origin and Steam. Did I got it right?

Also, will it be possible to connect your Steam and Origin account to this app? It would be really awesome to be able to use just one platform for all games and not to be forced to run Steam and also Origin if you wanna play a game from those platforms. I doubt it would be possible, but I thought I should ask to be sure.

Oh OK. I just thought if you were wondering when it would be its official release date.
no key here yet , not even sure if my sign up is registered or not
I'm still waiting, but I'm patient... anything free is worth that. :) xD

Try re-registering. If you get the "It appears this e-mail has already been entered." message, then you'll get the key eventually.

You can redeem Aliens vs Predator immediately with the code even though it does say release "soon." It's a pre-release type of arrangement due to GOG wanting to slowly add participants.

Edit: I see you got it.

I have no key yet :(
Will the key work after the free period or no?
If yes then waiting is fine.
Awesome, altough i'm more a STEAM user, for Aliens Vs. Predator, i'm more than willing to have another gaming platform along STEAM and Origin. This is going to be awesome to play online again after so many years, it's a classic!

TIP! If you people from GOG manage to get Aliens Vs. Predator 2 for the GOG Galaxy platform, i'm yours forever! I miss playing Aliens vs. Predator 2 multiplayer online !!!

Yes, the key is valid until 2015 (it was mentioned here).
And to calm you: no key for me until now, too. I guess it is just a lot of work to send all that keys.

It isn't that sending out keys is hard (they've implemented system(s) already to deal with sending out lots of keys), it is that GoG wants to stress test some aspects of Galaxy. They are sending out small batches of keys during the promo period to make sure people can get their keys, then...

Destro: Codes wise: although we sent some codes today, and will send more tomorrow to check for any potential networking issues, majority of codes will be sent after our signups conclude and once we have any potential issues ironed out, to try to generate as big stress test as possible... which probably will be after the weekend, not before - be patient please :)
...they plan to send out the rest. I think I saw a blue text say "Monday", but you'd have to search back through this thread to confirm that. Basically, they want as many people as they can get to jump on their new system at once to see if the system can handle it.

You might remember hearing about Steam servers crashing several years back when some really popular games finally went live; the servers just couldn't handle the load. GoG paid attention, and they are attempting to make sure that when they go live they don't have the same problem.
