A true blast from the past! In 1995, Disney Software and Buena Vista Interactive teamed up to bring Gargoyles for the Sega Genesis. This platformer was based on Disney's animated TV series with the same title, which was known for its dark and mature themes, complex characters, and engaging storytelling. The game quickly became an absolute gem thanks to its faithfulness to the source material and fun-packed gameplay.

Now, 28 years later, we’re gonna relieve those precious memories – Gargoyles Remastered is now available to pre-order on GOG.

It is an artfully crafted revival of the ‘90s classic 16-bit side-scrolling platform adventure. Experience classic gameplay that stays authentic to its predecessor while including new features such as achievements, gameplay rewind, and more!

Use stone-crushing strength, scale stone towers and buildings with razor-sharp claws, and glide through the air as you master mid-air attacks and hand-to-hand combat in non-stop action to save the world from destruction.

M3troid: Here you go
Thanks. I admit, the first one is not as terrible as most of the rest that I've heared. Second one ... is barely ok. I would not turn off the sound when playing. How long I could do that ... dunno.
Btw, listen to the first link you posted for a minute and then to the SNES or Amiga Jim Power link I posted.

I listened.

The SNES sound is way better than Mega Drive sound, but so what?

This does not means that MD sound is bad (but i admit there is some) or don't have any good musics.

UCrest: The way things are with Disney these days, I wouldn't be surprised if they release a Gummi Bears game (just kidding).

pferreira1983: With the same polish I'd buy it.
Good for you :) .

pferreira1983: MD had good sound depending on how it was used. Not saying all the music was perfect but certainly the audio was clearer that the dreadful sound quality on SNES (...)
I don't think the music on the SNES was any less clear or lousy compared to the Sega Genesis as you mention. Sega's console had very good games and some of them contained perhaps the best soundtracks of the 90s. But the SNES had its own thing too. In terms of colour palette and graphics the SNES was far superior to the MD (although I don't care about that, I don't judge a work by its looks). DKC's soundtrack is one of the most iconic in history, for example. FFVI's music is orchestrally a masterpiece and a masterful game by Hironobu Sakaguchi and SquareSoft for SNES. That's without detracting from the great catalogue of games the MD had, which is huge and just as legendary.

What I have been saying in my first post. I feel sorry for Michael Giacchino who had to listen to his composition on a device like this one.

I'm not saying SNES was incapable of good music. You mentioned a great example which is the DKC games but the audio was always muffled and a lot of ports such as Boogerman from MD to SNES always had bad compositions.

neumi5694: Would be cool if you could name some games with good music tho.
