They were not still working on the GoG Version, they were waiting for GoG to decide to put up on their site. In this case, GoG was the reason why the DLC was not on GoG, the developers wanted it, but GoG was dragging their feet for some reason.

Anyways, it is available on GoG now.

So it's just the usual slow GOG thing... Figures.

It's not a complete replacement. On Steam, the original Mark Of The Ninja has been removed, but only Special Ed owners got free upgrades. The Remastered version is offered as either a separate (more expensive) purchase, or as a paid DLC to existing owners of the original game. It's a bit like how the Baldur's Gate Enhanced Eds were handled here - remove the cheaper original option from sale to stop it competing with the snazzier, updated version of the game. It still belongs on the list, I think, but under the "missing paid DLC" section.

Don't want me to play the older less snazzy version that my computer can handle? nah, i'll pass on the snazzier version, since ican't even play it. Companies should be weary of this kind of cash grab having an impact on customer loyalty.

Party Hard
In addition to the issues already on the list, we've had no updates since July 2017. The missing updates cover a variety of bug fixes plus new languages (Turkish, Danish). Current GOG v1.4.030r, current Steam v1.4.035r.

Meridian: New World
Sad case here. We're missing the final v1.05 update for the game. The dev *wants* to provide it, but due to the DRM in his now-unsupported game engine, he's unable to create the required GOG build. There's definitely a cautionary tale in there. :-( The missing update mostly addresses performance issues.

Guild Of Dungeoneering
GOG is missing the last two updates (both released in 2017). These include numerous fixes, plus a new Trophy Trial game mode. Current GOG v1.09, current Steam v1.11.

Wuppo
Missing all updates since Feb 2018. This includes lots of bug fixes, plus a newly-added minimap. Current GOG v1.1.71, current Steam v1.1.101.

If it were me personally I would also include games that are released on GOG substantial amount of time after the original release date. In all fairness that would eliminate probably a majority of the GOG library but the treatment is none the less treating GOG users like they are second class gaming citizens.

Not asking for that to happen with this list, just expressing my personal opinion on second class status.

It's more about the DRM FREE aspect. Shareholders and people higher up the chain can't be easily convinced with this kind of stuff.

Shareholders are just walking wallets. They usually know nothing about what they invest on, they just want the profits thinking that following the general, unreliable econmy theory they learnt in school will be enough.

Hey, back when GOG was Good Old Games they wouldn't even accept games less than 3 years old. And I'd go for just having games that reached the end of the development and patching cycle myself, to know they're in the final form, bugs as squashed as they're gonna get and there won't be DLC spam or, worse, possibly missing or delayed or otherwise problematic updates later.

Until some intrepid young company decides to "remaster" it and remove the original from distribution. Also, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 (2013) just got a couple of new DLCs that have yet to make it to gog (and may never). To address your final point, at some time The Bard's Tale (2004) stopped working correctly on Linux (I used to hunt madly for a change in my system, but now I suspect it was silently updated, and I missed the update). The Remasted & Resnarkled patch supposedly fixes this. As mentioned in the list above, it's been over a year now. You can't trust anyone to leave well enough alone.
