Novotnus: If you're looking for a worthy Doom successor, try Dark Forces.
You mean this one? :P
I just finished Guacamelee. It was fun, colorful and had good but repetitive music. The low points of the game would be the level design and pacing.

Just finished Dark Souls 2. I am playing on NG+ and I was hoping to start PVPing more but with all the ninja filpping Havel's at higher Soul Memory and the weirdness with poise, I just don't want to anymore.

Exactly this one ;) Glory days of LucasArts...
Tesla Effect. 6/10. Great in some places, very spotty in others. Overall fun, but also disappointing in some design decisions and bugs.
Mortal Kombat Komplete Edtion

Finished Story Mode. Additionally, I had beaten the Arcade Ladder with Jade and Tag Team Ladder with Jade/Jax earlier. The game sorta reminds me of porn for two reasons (hear me out!) One, the girls in the game all wear very skimpy outfits: some the bare minimum before showing any dirty bits. And second, the cutscenes that are played before combat is initiated, are often about as well written as plots in porn. Typically it goes like this: Character A: "Let me through, I need to speak to whoever is in charge". Character B: "No way, for some reason I can't allow that!!" Character A: "Fine, I'll go through you then." Or; Character A: "Hey, sexy, that's a really nice pair of tits you're sporting there." Character B: "How dare you compliment my looks even though I'm obviously dressing as provocatively as I can, now we must fight!" Anyway, the things I liked about the game: Lots of different modes. An actual, lengthy story mode which I believe isn't that usual in fighting games. A really nice roster of characters. Satisfying gore. Then, the things I didn't like: A rubber band effect, which for some reason has been included in all Mortal Kombat games to my knowledge; if I'm good, the game difficulty ramps up infinitely between matches until I'm inevitably handed my ass. If I suck, the game gets easy to the point a toddler could beat it. If I choose Normal difficulty at the beginning, why can't it be on Normal difficulty until the end credits? I have never, ever understood this. Another thing I didn't like: the controls. I got better at the game the longer I played, but there was never a one-hundred percent certainty that I'd succeed making a certain combo or a super move correctly, because there was some stiffness in the controls. This might be credited to the crappiness of my Xbox pad at least to a certain degree, though, but I still think they could've been a bit better. As far as the story mode goes, I wish they would've enabled fatalities in there, because that's the thing the series is most well known, after all, and it would've been fun to do them even while playing the story mode. It would had been even cooler if the story had then changed on the fly based on who I had killed and who I had spared. And finally, I had some technical issues: for some reason, the game would often freeze for a relatively long time after cutscenes, which disrupted the flow severely. All in all, I would say the game isn't the best fighting game judging by controls and gameplay mechanics, but the interesting roster, gore, and a huge story mode compared to other fighting games, make up for the fact. I liked this game, and it's possible I'll continue playing it occasionally to unlock more endings in the Ladder Mode, and getting further in the Challenge Tower.

Just finished Fable - The Lost Chapters
Yes there's a lot of silly peripheral stuff going on in this game - Wives, husbands, huge range of hairstyles and tattoos that are then hidden under your clothes/armor, you age but no-one around you does, morality system etc. etc.
Fortunately there's a really strong 3D action RPG core under there with good storylines that engage you and keep you hooked until the end
Its maybe a bit short for this kind of game at 20-30 hours but that seems about right, plenty more backlog to get through too...
(Not Fable 2 though as it was XBox 360 only Grrr)

I just finished Nosferatu: The Wrath of Malachi. I was able to get both the bad ending and the good ending.

Make no mistake, this game is deeply flawed and it can be tedious at times, however it has a really great atmosphere and despite its flaws it can be really fun.
Finished Wolfenstein 3D: Episode 1 (still 4 episodes to play !)

I only played the first episode back when it was released. This episode was quite good in short sessions (1-2 levels). Level 7 was original as the exit was right near the start but completionists could explore a lot of other rooms. Level 8 had the longest succession of secret "rooms" (I'd say between 50 and 100)... which became quickly tedious.

Full list here.
Just finished Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, at least in the sense that the ending movie for my skater (Tony Hawk) and the end credits appeared. I still have two levels to complete 100%, but I have the three gold medals in the tournaments, which essentially amounts to be completed. I'll be damned if I'm going to play the whole game through 10 times to get the skateboarding videos for each of the characters though.

This marks a bit of an end of an era for me, because I played THPS2 and THPS3 a lot in my childhood, but never actually got around to finishing them. At the time I was very competitive with other people my age, so I ended up taking unnecessary risks with the stunts and crashing and burning as a result. Once you approach the stunts with a little more serenity, you find the whole thing gets a lot easier.

Classic game though, that even 14 years later still looks great on the PC at 1024x768, despite the low-res textures and blocky models.

I played the first Tony Hawk game a ton when it came out. I was really into skateboarding and watching the X-Games and all that at the time. That phase of my life didn't really last all that long though, and I never played any later THPS games.

That first one was awesome though.
Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing - I don't play a whole lot of racing games, but this one was great, even though I've never played any of the games the racers are taken from and have no built-in fondness for any of them. The game controls exceptionally well, looks great, and has excellent local (split-screen) multiplayer. Now on to "Transformed" which so far looks awesome.

Wing Commander 1 plus expansions - beaten with an Xbox360 controller and Joy2key. WC1 has well-documented speed problems on modern machines that I just had to learn to live with, but after I came to terms with them, I found the game to be decent fun and well worth the effort. That said, the main game and expansions both have some ridiculous difficulty spikes and on several occasions I ragequit for a week or two due to the difficulty of certain missions. I also played this game all the way through without realizing that the difficulty was partly due to a glitch in the controls, i.e., I was unable to shoot while turning. I didn't figure out the solution to this, or even realize that it wasn't intentional behavior, until I had nearly finished Wing Commander 2. The solution was not to use joy2key to map the left stick on my controller to the arrow keys, but rather to let the game and/or dosbox automatically use the stick. After doing that, I could suddenly shoot while turning my craft, overall precision of movement was increased greatly, and the game was miles easier (and more fun) to play, although still tough.

Wing Commander 2 plus expansions - much the same observations as above. Definitely a classic, well worth playing, and has fewer speed issues than WC1. Getting the controls set up properly if using a gamepad is a definite must to really enjoying these titles.
The Bard's Tale (2004)

I have no idea about the old Bard's Tale games. Yes, they are included in this game itself. No, I'm not in the mood for another RPG right now. As for the reboot/remake/reimagining/rewhatever, well, meh. Very hit and miss humour, unsatisfying and tedious combat which degenerates into constant parrying and attacking and little in the way of exploration. Summoning monsters through music is somewhat interesting, but the summoning process is way too tedious (who the hell thought it was a great idea to have to watch the same long animation each time you summon or unsummon monsters?). And despite being a parody, it is just as guilty of the cliches it mocks. Yes, it mocks items falling from monsters, the "chosen one selected by fate" and the "go to x amount of dungeons to break a seal", but it still does them itself. Overall, unsatisfying as an RPG and unsatisfying as a hack and slash.

The updated list.
And another one bites the dust with Papo & Yo. A very good game except a few difficult puzzles and some collision bugs.

Complete post here.

I played Transformed on a Steam 'free weekend' promo a while back - I though it had huge potential to be a Mario Kart rival but was marred by unbalanced drivers, with Sonic himself being loads better than anyone else!
