The Witcher: Enhanced Edition (GOG) is free for the next 48 hours at Arstechnica.com

I used to post comments at Ars Technica quite a bit. I kind of stopped posting after I mentioned a petition for the Halo collection to come to Steam and got eviscerated by downvotes. I guess Ars Technica readers are mostly console purists, which makes this partnership surprising.
Now it's Sparkle 3 Genesis. I claimed this one though I wanted 2 Evo...

Whoa there! This is proving, uh, a lot more popular than we projected. We're pausing for about twenty minutes to fortify ourselves and grab more codes. Check back at around 11:15 EDT today for the giveaway to resume.
It's 3 minutes past that time (yeah I know, but still) does noone see anything linking to a free witcher on that page or is it just me?
Do note I'm not currently logged into their account (didn't even sign up for one yet)

It seems the Ars server is either overloaded or they suspended the codes and new accounts due to bots hoarding the codes for scalping.

Considering that in the past gog has periodically handed out the Witcher series free/heavily discounted like AOL disks, I'm surprised there are enough people who don't already have it to have such an impact.

It's back up again. I just grabbed my code and I'm downloading the game. This is the first time I've seen a Witcher offer anywhere, for whatever reason.
