[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

This is the "generic" thread that's freer with what can be posted, due to the "temporary" being between parentheses. That one was created because some were also posting games that were turning permanently free or free games being added to stores, and also piles of itch freebies, plus non-game freebies, like game assets or books, so the other one is for those wanting a "cleaner" thread specifically for temporary freebies and also largely excluding itch, for which there's another thread, unless something particularly good shows up there I guess.
There's the stickied mod post commenting on it after all, and it refers to some earlier posts in the discussion for details. Can go back to those to see how it all started.

I wouldn't pay much attention to the reviews and the review bombings of the Borderlands games. Sure, the language in the new EULA is pretty bad, but the game files haven't been updated since 2022. The game is completely safe.
Because of the new EULA I would pay attention to future updates though, but I doubt there will be any to these old games. It's most likely just a standard EULA Take-Two uses for all their games now, so I would be more worried about their new releases than their old ones.
