maybe a little more balance (for the 11 player) would have simply been to make dedo N1 kill-proof all together, in 13 I think another mafia player would be a great addition, and make dedo a regular mafia and not traitor, but still no night-chat.
SK doesn't need balancing though. They rarely survive to the end for the reasons I state above as it is and having a role specifically designed to spot them is overkill. Dedo probably needed to just be full mafia or add a real full mafia.

But given all the roles that directly screwed with town, I certainly see why one might have been overly careful in the balancing. Besides, it was the SK who got Dedo N1. Hard to say how the game might have progressed without that.
