Fair point. Fortunately, there is no such risk for dwarves ;)
Bea E.G.G. goes through eastern tunnel and sees three half orcs, two of them better at melee than dwarven cleric or her. So she cast infestation of maggots to the nearest half-orc warrior/berzerker.

Elven druid Beatrice Eilonwy Giulietta Giselle cast infestation of maggots.

MaxFulvus: Is the Guardian already summoned, because we should summon it in front only during a fight to avoid to let it vanish before being able to use it ? I carry a Battleaxe with magical properties with +1 damage, a shield and throwing axes, but only a studded leather armour. For those who have offensive spells, try to avoid those in front of you. I don't want to be hit in the back by a fireball !
The Guardian is already summoned, but that shouldn't be a problem, it lasts 5 turns, and if really necessary, I can summon it again. Better overprepared than dead, I always say.
Also, I just realised that the Human's formation suggestion does not appear to protect the Battlemage (who may need it), and protects my summoned Guardian, which is meant to be disposable protection. Perhaps two columns would be better than 3. Does the thief of Fulvus really need to be that far ahead to scout and detect traps?

Ilan14: Daniel - Human Thief
But not without taking the treasure of the chest for herself, an ornated silver dagger, a weapon which would make the perfect fit for a thief. Obviously, I couldn't allow this to stand, so I call to the drow and tell her:

"Greetings, lady Necromancer! I appreciate you getting us out of this mess. But as much as I admire your business-like approach to thievery, I had my eyes on that treasure first, and as a Thief, having someone else snatch it away doesn't sit well with me. As I would like to avoid conflict given the approaching dangers of the grate, I offer you the chance to just hand over the dagger peacefuly. Otherwise, I'll be obligated to start playing roughly..."

I look at the elf beside me and tell him:

"As for you fellow thief, I'm willing to forgive your lack of manners if you support me in this situation."

While open for negotiation, I stand on guard for a potential fight.

Trid: 17 - Tridris - Drow Necromancer

I'm looking at the dagger (trying to evaluate its value) and then at the thief that just spoke to me.

"What a funny little male human we have here, I'm saving you from certain death and you dare to make demands to me... and in this situation... fascinating.... and here I wanted to make it easy for you... on the other hand, fresh corpse are always usefull in my... "field". Are you sure that you are ready to bear consequence of your actions? Think about it deeply and fast as I believe we don't have much time left for pointless quarrels."

Seeing the attitude of the thief and that he is on the guard I'm saying quickly to Gold "Be ready for anything, this may end messy" and after that I'm starting quietly incantation of the spell that, depend of the situation, I may end or not.
46 - Gold - Goblin Ranger
Gold telling to Tridris:
Don't worry, I'm ready with my weapons if necessary.
But we do not have much time for this as something dangerous can approach this place.

gogtrial34987: Og'rialt the Dwarven Brigand speaks up, "Dear companions, I must still have been groggy from whatever magic transferred us here, as I only just now realized that I've had my spiked chain looped around my waist all this time! With it, I can strike out quite far, so will be effective fighting from right behind the front line. That means that I would be more effective near the front after all, as we'll then have three front-line fighters in a tunnel where any enemies would only expect two!"
Beldarion frowns: -"Sure, having that thing swinging wildly just beside our heads sounds really comforting... I hope you know how to use it..."
-"Anyway, let's move onwards! I spotted someone rushing into the tunnel ahead of us and I wouldn't like her/him to loot all treasures. And I have the feeling that a greater danger lurks behind us, so let's not linger and stay alert."

Arrives late in the northern part, through the main tunnels. Checking for traps and examining noises, took its toll on speed and action. Warhammer in hand, slowly marches onwards.
Oh wow.
It seems people are itching to start confrontation.

Cervello - Drow Battlemage
Going to South Main Tunnel.

Looking for party of Half-Orc, Drow, and Goblin.

Zazz, Goblin Berzerker

The crashing sounds from the tunnels sets Zazz on edge. However, Zazz notices the commotion in the middle of the chamber and slides up to the goblin shaman.

'What do now?' he asks. 'We help other gobbo and kill humie for loot?'

No drow have entered the south main tunnel (or side tunnel) yet, three have gone into the North tunnels (two into the smaller tunnel), one is going west, and one was listed as going east but is staying in the main chamber for the time being. The south tunnels have no half-orc or goblins either, they're either in the main chamber, or in the other directions.

Edit: + one drow is in the east tunnel now.

Ilan14: Daniel - Human Thief

Without wasting time, I proceed to unlock the hornet chest. Suprisingly, unlocking this one was a rather trivial task. But before I open it, I'm suddenly shoved aside by another fellow thief, an elf with an apparent disregard for basic manners, a clear violation of the Thief's Code.

Unfortunately, before I can voice my discontent, a spiderweb springs from inside the western tunnel, trapping us both in place. A sticky situation indeed, but immediately after that, a lady drow - possibly a Necromancer given her looks - with a goblin in tow approaches us and frees us from the web through some sort of enchantment.

But not without taking the treasure of the chest for herself, an ornated silver dagger, a weapon which would make the perfect fit for a thief. Obviously, I couldn't allow this to stand, so I call to the drow and tell her:

Might I draw your attention to the fact that there's still some treasure left in the chest? The ogre belt. In case you missed it and thought it contained only the dagger.

nevarRed: Zazz, Goblin Berzerker

'What do now?' he asks. 'We help other gobbo and kill humie for loot?'
Looking at how the situation is evolving, the Shaman quickly assess that "this won't do".
The violent rage of Lady Beatrice is threatining the half-Orcs, the only group out there that won't kill Goblins on sight.
Waving his staff in the direction of Zazz, he says "this is the right time to make a move. We'll use darkness, sand and noise to sneak further into the tunnel. Follow me, I will probably need your aid. I won't let a knife-eared pigskin damage our best chance to survive".
That said, he proceeds to move down the corridor as fast and as covered by the environment as possible, exploiting the messy area and the small size of Goblins to still remain unnoticed.
