Doc0075: 69 - alexandros050 - Rudy - Human Ranger
Rudy is heading south to the smaller tunnel.

also I was wondering as a ranger do I have any skills that I can use?

And one last thing what choices do I have now that I decided to venture south to the small tunnel? Or every 2 days you will give us new places to explore?

Doc0075: This is where I currently have people placed on the map. If you are missing or in the wrong place please let me know. Any that are not placed yet and don't inform me otherwise will be placed as still in the chamber.

gogtrial34987: My notes also have 3 - arsalan12 - Arsalan - Elven Mage heading south into the main tunnel while casting summon monster. ( #211: "I, Arsalan the Elven Mage head to the south tunnels and cast the spell 'Summon Monster' to help me deal with any dangers lurking in the darkness." So uncertain if that's the main or small tunnel.)
I'm heading to the south main tunnel. My name is also not mentioned in post # 360

cardangrille: Cardan, Half Orc Berserker, agrees. Cardan knows, many Half Orcs will get many shinies in dungeon! Cardan's 2-hand greataxe has +2 damage, very good, very strong. Crush enemies easy.
...Try not crush chests with shinies.

Cardan waits for others to join strong Half Orcs as well.
avatar
PaterAlf: Me Pater Alf, Half-Orc Warrior, joins Cardan and Balbok. Also brings tiny cute pet potato Olmse. Me very stupid, but strong. What we do next?
avatar
blastradius: Valius, Elven Battlemage, watches the others carefully. The noise of the grate tells him he should get out of here fast, and the south tunnels look about as good a starting point as any to get out of here. Although he wants to start exploring, he believes it's a good idea to gather a party before venturing forth. He sees a few parties gathering quickly already and a rather imposing force of half orcs near the south tunnels.

"Hail, half orcs. Would you have a need of a mage in your ranks? Any good party needs a good mage. I can fight pretty well too, my broadsword Armavel hasn't failed me in battle yet."
Cardan is okay with you in party, little elf friend. Balbok and Pater Alf good with mage also?

Cardan thinks we must go into dungeon now before scaly things come, big tunnels to east looks good point to start
Thelis sees a group people heading into the eastern tunnel and thinks it might be better to follow them than linger in that dreadful circular chamber. But not knowing any of them, decides to keep a bit of distance behind them, with his trusty dagger ready.

Doc0075: Those heading North and South please confirm for me if you are using the main tunnels or the smaller side tunnels. It is not clear with everyone.
Main tunnel.
Tanea, Halfling Shaman (female)
Just when I think BenKii, the Human Warrior, left us behind for good, he looks back over his shoulder. It seems he hadn't noticed the Halfling checking the West Tunnel for markings after all and assumed we were following him, because now he comes back, standing with us, waiting.
I'm anxious, what Shins A'Hoy, as he introduced himself to me after a warm greeting, when I slid over to him, will find. Is it the wrong Tunnel? Will we be worse of in here than staying in the chamber? The scratching sounds from behind the metal grate resurface in my memory. No, I don't think so.
I look into the chamber. Some of the occupants are busy with the chests, others pull on the chains, all four of them. This is insanity. Nothing good can possibly come of this?
I turn back to watching Shins and smile involuntarily. I didn't realise how much I missed other Haflings. Beeing surrounded by them my whole life, it probably shouldn't be that surprising, but somehow it is. I can almost forget the Drow, who slipped into the West Tunnel too. Slipping behind Siegfried and looking into the Tunnel, almost like he is watching Siegfrieds back. Is that bad luck just a rumour? I don't know. But there were two Drows. Where is the other one? I don't see him.
Two Half-Orcs slipped into the Tunnel, too. Prepared for war by the looks of it. One looking into the depth of the Tunnel, the other preparing to do something he will enjoy greatly judging by the grin he's giving Siegfried and "the stuck food comment" he makes. I shudder, even more as I hear someone say "IT MUST BE A CHALLENGE FROM THE GODS." He is Human, a Cleric maybe? He wants everyone to stay together. Then a Dwarf makes his way through our little group. And he ... summons something, a Stone Elemental? I feel relieved when he offers to let it escort whoever may scout for traps. That might be Shins. I will try my best to watch over him and aid him too.
I look back to those pulling on the chains. Will that trigger something deadly for those still lingering in the chamber? For those lingering around the tunnel entrances? Maybe even those in the tunnels already? All of us? My worry and anxiousness grow as I turn my gaze back to Shins.

Seems to me that he's referring to a different group, those by the south tunnel, while you're at the east one.
Though... Not seeing half orcs in the south. So I'm thinking Valius should clarify.

Vanlaa - Elf Paladin arrives in the chamber near the East tunnel. He is very confused by the experience and has changed his name to - Gar Dragonlord of Vadenville.

Cervello mentioned it: pkk234 - Cornholio - Golbin Berserker (number 33) is missing from the whole setup.
Seems like no Drows in the East tunnel so far, and I'd like it to stay that way. :D

gogtrial34987: Once we know the results of the detect secrets spell and the perception check, I suggest Aslain Melemir and Kip take point, scouting for traps and ambushes respectively, with Rudy ready right behind ready to swap places with Aslain in case we encounter a fight. (@Kip: How's your armor? I'm decked out in chainmail, so if you're less well covered, maybe I should take point after all?) Dunward has a... dart thrower, was it? so can safely stay away from the front line. I will cover our rear (or Kip can, depending on the armor situation), in case the fire trap wasn't enough. We will definitely leave enough room between ourselves so we can easily maneuver and swap places.
Og'rialt the Dwarven Brigand speaks up, "Dear companions, I must still have been groggy from whatever magic transferred us here, as I only just now realized that I've had my spiked chain looped around my waist all this time! With it, I can strike out quite far, so will be effective fighting from right behind the front line. That means that I would be more effective near the front after all, as we'll then have three front-line fighters in a tunnel where any enemies would only expect two!"

@Aslain, I've been assuming that you need to be on point to detect traps, but do you actually, or are you perceptive enough to do so from behind?

That is correct Og'rialt, apart of fine selection of spells I have a wand of silver darts at my disposal.

MaxFulvus: Ok for me to follow the main south tunnel. As a formation, I suggest :

WarriorlThieflBattlemage
ClericlRangerlPaladin

Considering I need to detect traps or secrets areas, I'm obliged to stay in front. I have a Battleaxe, so I don't fear close combat, but not a heavy protection, so to be under Babargh's Globe of Protection would be great.
Two rows of three? Fair enough, I forgot about the need to detect such.
Let us also not forget, I have my Holy Guardian offering protection. It could be part of the frontline as well.

I'm unsure who else aside from us will follow the same path, but considering the thief of Fulvus is the only detector so far, it seems prudent to enter an alliance of convenience with them. If they are going to take advantage of your skills, they might offer some detection or protection (magical, worldly or spiritually sourced) of their own.

sasuke12: I, Strigon, the Drow Necromancer cast upon me the death armor spell, and lines up behind Siegfried facing the dungeon in the West tunnel.
I certainly prefer to have a Drow fighting on my side than against!

67 - Testor0 - Rufus - Human Cleric
76 - Lemon_Curry - Shins A'Hoy - Halfling Thief
Strigon is the only Drow in the Western tunnel. Perhaps we can find a way to make good use of him -and find a formation to minimize the malus to Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Halflings and maximize their bonus while standing next to Half-Orcs (we've got two) and Goblins.

Trid: (Tridris - Drow (f), Necromancer)
We could do this, but we also could stick behind some other group, they can provide useful as meatshield for traps.

You idea seems interesting.
Do you have any idea which group we should follow behind?
Lets fallow the orc's.

We fallow orc's in the East tunnel (in reasonable distance).
