We used this year’s spring cleaning to dust off some of the great DOS classics.

Thanks to the partnership and long-time cooperation with the DOSBox Crew, together we’ve managed to enhance with cloud saves feature over 100 classics, with more to come.

Since the introduction of the Universal Cloud Saves to GOG Galaxy, the feature has been added to more and more all-time classics that never offered save syncing and cloud backups. Working closely with DOSBox Crew and adding cloud saves to older games is another step that we take to improve gamers experience with good old games.

Many of these cloud saves enabled DOS classics joined the Spring Sale line up offering savings for such must-haves like Colonization (-75%), Dungeon Keeper Gold (-75%), Heroes of Might and Magic (-75%), Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3 (-75%), Wing Commander III (-75%), classic X-COMs (-75%), and many more.

Just to clarify a little: some of the entries on elcook's list are bundles and in few cases not all games from the bundle support cloud saves (yet).

Like M&M VI or SWAT2, being Windows games and not really a part of DOSBox update ;)

Vast majority is fine though.

If anyone is finding that they need to reinstall a game, try using the verify/repair function first. Simcity 2000 wasn't working for me and I almost uninstalled, but then tried the V/R function instead, and it started working again.

To me it makes sense to go from bestselling DOS games to worstselling (and to an extent that may be what GOG is doing), but I guess the way it has to be done is in batches based on publisher approval.

Still great work of course.

Nice to see something new for galaxy, I hope there's more to come for it.


It would be great if we can see our games with the grid shelf view offline. Currently you can't see them if you don't have an internet connection. At least make it so that you can see your installed games with the shelf view even if you are offline like you can see them on the left side currently.

I like it. One request through. I wish GOG Galaxy would show box art for games or let me configure custom icons for my Galaxy launcher. The more customization options the better.

There are no info available at the moment regarding that.

However, just because game is no longer being sold it doesn't mean we won't work on it - there are users that have it on their shelf after all ;)

Found some last minute issues and will have to roll back several games:

Harvester
Lands Of Lore
Theme Park
Wizardry 6

They will get CS functionality at a bit later date.
(and more games will be added today as well)

Please add Wing Commander (1) to the list. The installer seems to be broken. When I try executing it, Windows tells me the file is "damaged" and recommends me to "get another copy". Redownloading the file does not solve the problem.
