haha nothing controversial about it. Though I'm sure some idiot will find something that will offend blacks, muslims, feminists and vegans.

tomimt: I used to play Beach Head 2 a lot on my Amstrad CPC464. That was a challengin game which I doubt IS Defense won't be
I used to play the original Beach Head on my Commodore64 way back when. That reminds me, I should fire up the Epyx Games series in MESS for old times sake...Post edited February 11, 2016 by ValamirCleaver

Can't you use them to find the profile? Which has nicks listed. I made the mistake myself and am glad nothing happened. I thought I wouldn't want my nick or ID floating around; so I decided to not use people nicks / usernames / IDs.

?????? Profiles are easily accessible on steam as most people set it to "public", you just have to go on the greenlight page and click on names so I don't really understand what's the deal with copy/pasting on forums (harrasment maybe?).
Or maybe I missed the latest news on the freshest security bug issue on Steam...

I think he's confusing profile names and Steam account names.
When you make a Steam account, that's your Steam account name. Best to not really give that out. When you make a profile you're allowed to pick a different name. These are public and can be changed to your hearts content. Your Steam account name cannot be changed at all.

Kinda. And many people use the same account username and nick. When you make a Steam account, that's your Steam account name. Best to not really give that out. The game looks like it might be an interesting arcade-style game worthy of a very small price tag. Of course, I doubt my laptop will be able to run it just like how it cannot handle Hatred.
You say "fascist." I was say awesome. Go move into an Islamist nation and talk openly about supporting gay rights, women's rights, and religious liberty and see what happens. I have nothing against national preservation since people make up the nations and not the other way around and I have nothing against defending the cultures of various people especially ones that are native to their respective territories.

Emob78: Now that I think of it, that probably just gave some people a bad idea - government subsidizing of the 'private software entertainment sector'. Sure, that will go over like gangbusters. As if it wasn't bad enough when the military does it. Let's turn over our hobby to social workers and sociologists looking to have a new sandbox to play in. Great idea!
That actually already happens somewhere. Or in more than one country. All I recall is that they're in Europe.Emob78

Gersen: A game in which you play a soldier killing a bunch of terrorists... sounds like the plot of 80% of FPS and it's not exactly the most controversial one either.
Not sure what they mean by "veto" though.
Habanerose: Basically replace ISIS with either Al-Qaeda (Afghanistan) or Saddam Hussein (Iraq) and it just seems like a lot of these shooters released post 9/11... Not sure what they mean by "veto" though.
Also this game reminds me of an updated Beachhead 2000 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoxRGgZ74mE

As long as I (FINALLY - YAY!) have alts on the multi-day splurge, I see no reason to not continue. You don't have to explain fascism to me. I understand. You need some authority in your life. I, on the other hand, have been militantly opposed to it in all forms for over 40 years.
But the thing is, the right will always lose. :) Sometimes not even in the lifetimes of men. But progress will not be stopped. Individuals will be increasingly free to live their lives as they choose (while of course being compelled to improve their society). It is a one way road. With setbacks to be sure, but this is not deniable. Until the comet or the virus or the heat takes us all out.
The right lost today at my doorstep in the National Wildlife Refuge. They lose daily on the streets of England - in the most hilarious ways. They lose world wars. They have been losing to science for hundreds of years. The right is losing constantly as freedoms expand to all people in forward-looking and forward-thinking societies.
Why the fuck would I move to an Islamist nation? I moved AWAY from a religion-based society (Texas), though it wasn't nearly as influenced by the diagnosibly mentally ill 15 years ago when I first fled. Christianity will be dead in a few hundred years (it's already basically dead among the young in Iceland where 0.0% believe God created the universe). Islam won't be far behind it. All of their ridiculously outdated rules will be firmly seen by all of humanity as a cruel joke. Seriously - go move to Arkansas and talk openly about supporting gay rights, women's rights, and religious liberty (aside from Christianity) and see what happens.
I view Islamic terrorists as vile as any reasonable person does. I find them more vile than Pegida and all the other neo-nazis and the increasingly and frighteningly large proportion of neo-nazi apologists in Europe and the US. (Just because their acts actually reach their end goal because they don't have a functioning government to stop them from doing whatever they want.) But if you spend your life fearing Islamic terrorists while living in the United States you are a fool and a coward. Because Islamic terrorists can't do shit compared to, say, all the fucking treasonous lunatics and their supporters that just attempted an armed takeover of the US government. The next ones might not be as completely inept. Or the fucking idiots in congress that actually can do something. Like take away my choice to live my life as I see fit. (Assuming I don't hurt others, like my parents taught me.)
If you fear terrorists, the terrorists have already defeated you. That's sad. But when you're all so sincere about it it's actually kind of funny.
Are you all for defending the culture of the Confederacy, like so many in the south are? And infinite9, in case you hadn't noticed, my culture - and I'm pretty sure yours - is not native to our respective territories.
