You better get ready for those news – because two spectacular mods are coming soon to GOG, for free! We’re talking of course about Nehrim: At Fate's Edge and Enderal: Forgotten Stories!

Nehrim: At Fate's Edge is a total conversion mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Explore the eponymous land of Nehrim and its dense forests and deserts, delve into ancient crypts and labyrinthine caves, and experience an unconventional, gripping storyline that unfolds beyond good and evil.

Enderal: Forgotten Stories is also a total conversion mod, although for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. You’ll get to explore an immersive open world, overhauled skill systems and gameplay mechanics in a dark, psychological storyline.

Soon on GOG!

ssling: Yes, it's on GOG. See screenshot.

It's the same with Fallout New Vegas from Prime.
Yep, that's weird

ssling: I have Oblivion from Amazon Prime which is not shown as owned in store. Let's see if it'll be possible to add this mod then :P
It's a well known bug that affects certain games with different listings. GOG is aware of this but won't fix for some reason.
I've seen this happening with Fallout New Vegas (also grabbed from Prime) and Neverwinter Nights EE Digital Deluxe (bought with a newsletter discount)..

Basically if the game is in your library you're all set, just ignore the store entries.

Swedrami: Would be great if you could get total conversions/overhaul mods for other games such as Gothic/Gothic 2 on board as well.
Particularly Legend of Ahssun (Wishlist entry) and, when they're ready, Dzieje Khorinis - History of Khorinis (Wishlist entry) and the Gothic Reloaded Mod (Wishlist entry).

The Chronicles of Myrtana: Archolos is already here, so there's precedent.
Gothic Reloaded has over 600 votes, I hope it shows up :) I didn't realize History of Khorinis has almost 500 votes, that'd be great to see here too.
Looked at the pages for the games, and they apparently replaced the skill growth system with an XP and skill point system. I do not like this change.

I've wishlisted these two games, but I have a feeling that I may not "buy" these games on release here; they'll likely just remain in my wishlist, at least for a while.

(Worth noting that I also have Daggerfall Unity on my wishlist.)
Will it be possible to install Oblivion/Skyrim and these mods side-by-side? Or does the mod replace the original game when installed?
Thought the post is about two new MODERATORS :D

Anyways, thank you for the mods. Will certainly give a try to the Skyrim one and also for the Oblivion if I get the the game later on.

TheCleaner517: Yay.... more "coming soon"... It's a mod, why is it even coming soon? Why isn't it here right off the bat? Not to mention the mod is free. So, again, why isn't it here?

Not like there are features you have to add or remove...
Exactly my thoughts.
Maybe they want to wait until after that sale. If you begin playing Nehrim or Enderal now there isn't much of a chance you have any need to buy another RPG for some weeks.

Yes, these mods are standalone games.
"Soon", a terrible word when it is written by GOG staff !
Oh yeah, Enderal, the best "TES" game i've ever played. Now this is the proper way to greet 2023.

It would be really nice to have the FS soundtrack here as well.

Never given Nehrim a fair shake but i guess i'm all out of excuses now.

Yesterday SureAI website stated, that Enderal is coming to GOG on February, 13th. Nevertheless, no date is being provided now.

THANK YOU to whomever got this deal through. Now Enderal can be accessed by more people as the current maintainer doesn't update the Steam version past 2.0.12 and you have to install it yourself.

(Although to be a bit pedantic; it's called a total conversion when it creates a new game, and simply a mod when it modifies the existent game.)

Wouldn't be surprised if it comes in the same package as it is on steam, a fully modified copy of Skyrim. Either that or as a patch to modify existing install of Skyrim for you.

It should be noted that Enderal SE is not developed or even maintained by SureAI. Sure, SureAI originally conceived and made Enderal for Skyrim LE, much thanks to Nicolas Lietzau. However, another group ported it over to Skyrim SE (in 2021) and still maintains it.

Now, if you want more from the same universe I highly recommend the novel by Nicolas Lietzau called “Dreams of the Dying”. It explores Jespar Dal'Vareks past.

Thanks for the info. In that case, Enderal Special Edition is actually not store-locked. Therefore, both mods can be installed right now on any DRM-free versions of Oblivion and Skyrim Special Edition respectively. :)

No worries, I mistook what you meant by not showing as owned, to mean not shown in your library.

It is often the case with some games at GOG, where special versions, such as GOTY Deluxe just don't show owned on the game page or the vanilla game page. I certainly have that issue with many games at GOG.
