Just a heads up. If you want the Shadowrun trilogy and you don't care about the music and comics artbooks whatever else. You can save a dollar buying each game individually. That way you can put that extra dollar to something else!

Outsiders:
It seems to work for me with the few things I tried (not showing anything in my library). Might just be some particular circumstances it doesn't work?

I noticed the search box works differently between the new style and old style; with the old one you can search for a developer or publisher directly but on the new one you can't. This isn't great IMO, particularly since some of the developer/publisher links from the pages don't show all of the games from that developer or publisher (or at least didn't, hopefully they fixed it; the issue is usually when there are multiple developers or publishers listed for a particular game). At least they seem to have fixed the developer/publisher links not working at all sometimes issue.

The new search is not ideal in other ways as well, such as searching for "RiME" doesn't show the game called "RiME" until way down the list (28th result if I counted correctly). I happened to notice recently that they are using a cookie called "cat_ab" set to either "old" or "new" to determine what view you get and also seem to only be using the new view for some accounts (not without an account). So in Firefox if you get the new view logged in you can open the search page in a container to get the old catalog search and then open game pages under your account (the two ways available by default if you have containers enabled are: right click on a link and you can open the link in a particular container and right click on a tab and you can open the same page as the tab in a new container). There is a recommended (monitored by Mozilla) Firefox addon called Cookie Quick Manager that lets you edit cookies and might work to switch an account, although I haven't tried it and they might tie it to the account in a way that just changing the cookie won't work (or just work until the cookie expires in a couple of days, although the same addon lets you ignore expiration for particular cookies as well).

But, the new search does finally have "sort by price" :).

I don't know the odds staff will be around in this thread, but should Dishonored Complete Collection be on sale since all the other Dishonored games are too? Currently it is not on sale

https://www.gog.com/game/dishonored_complete_collection
Sadly (for GOG), I can't find anything. I think it's because GOG has had too many sales during the year, with similar or even better prices. So I don't feel any rush to buy something. In stark contrast, sites like Matrix and WDS (formerly John Tiller Software) rarely have sales on their wargames, many of which are very tricky to find elsewhere, so to me they have a higher priority. You don't really need a platform to play their games either. So for me they are a direct alternative to GOG.

Some big recommendations from me:

Armored Brigade (https://www.gog.com/game/armored_brigade) at -80%
This is an absolutely silly price, I have never ever seen it this low. A huuuge bargain at this price. If you like tactical games you should get it. It's easy and intuitive to learn but hard to master, although you can adjust the difficulty.

Space Empires Complete Pack (https://www.gog.com/game/space_empires_complete_pack) at -80%.
Again, a silly price for the content. Classic and really good space 4x.

Field of Glory 2 (https://www.gog.com/game/field_of_glory_ii) at -75%.
One more silly price for the amount of content and quality you get. Tactical board-game inspired game. Tricky to learn but really fun and rewarding, like chess but with more layers.

Tank Warfare: Tunisia 1943 (https://www.gog.com/game/tank_warfare_tunisia_1943) at -80%.
Another great tactical games at a silly price. Tactical tank sim game.

Distant Worlds: Universe (https://www.gog.com/game/distant_worlds_universe) at -90%.
Awesome epic space 4x at the cost of a cheap frozen pizza.

Oriental Empires (https://www.gog.com/game/oriental_empires) at -80%.
4x empire-builder set in China. This game is unique to me since there are so few strategy games set in ancient China, and this is a good one.

Unfallen_Satan: I'd love to see Order of Battle: WWII joining this sale. Right now all the DLC are on sale on GOG at prices comparable to Steam, except the base game. Since Steam offers the base game (without the U.S. Pacific DLC, which is also on sale) for free, the comparison between Steam and GOG is jarring. I think it's going to be a bar to entry on GOG for a lot of prospective buyers. I have been holding out buying on Steam to wait for GOG, but it's hard to justify supporting GOG at such a big difference. I am going to hold off for little longer.
strange, maybe a little oversight on gog's behalf?

another option maybe might be to buy from slitherine directly ?

Their games are only password protected and no special launcher is needed to have access to their games. Without the password it is essentially the same offer gog does. you do of course need an account.

Check out the order of battle listing here ----> https://www.slitherine.com/inventory

Any of these may be fine for casual player? Someone, who like strategies, but is a terrible player and also does not have hundreds of hours?
Just a thank you to GOG for FINALLY putting LEGO Batman 3 on sale. And 85% at that for the Premium Edition (cheaper than the regular one for some reason). After several sales where it was the only game that did not have a discount, this was definitely a nice surprise.

Grabbed some other stuff along with it:
Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising
Arx Fatalis
Outwars
Warhammer: Chaosbane Slayer Edition
TrickStyle
Iratus: Wrath of the Necromancer
Gun Metal

And also added some stuff to my wishlist. Definitely satisfied with this sale.

Good price, indeed. But still - is it worth it? I have a bit mixed fillings...

I'd love to grab Dex and Circle Empires at those sale prices, but unfortunately, both are missing bugfix updates for years now:

I did some searching and came across a post which talked about Barefoot Essentials. Great script for the web browser which is making the GOG website much easier to use.

I dont understand peoples fascination with bugfixes in general. Are they bugs which are game stoppers or something mild which doesnt affect overall gameplay?
