You basically see the same website you access via desktop. Not comfortable to use on phone, but if you are persistent the forum is usable, and chat is very annoying to use

Who doesn't? I really feel like quite a lot of websites hit a peak of functionality some years back, but since everything online has to keep being redesigned so as not to appear outdated things keep being changed for the worse.

There is an issue with multiple tabs browsing - I seem to be getting the notification on all (including the blinking), which is logical,
But once I refresh one tab, notification is gone, even though I didn't click on link to the forum post, didn't even click the bell...
It stays as if nothing happened on other tabs - and then it seems to clear on all tabs at once, when I actually click it.

Regarding chat, is there a way to keep the list of open chats between session? I assume that was the initial idea?
What is expected about better discrepancy between regular chats, chats with friends, and block lists?
Also I can't put my finger on it, but I have a feeling chat history should be easier to go through, maybe add tabs?

Yes. On my ipad, I currently can't use the chat at all now because I can't select a person to chat with. In the previous version, I was at least able to see the chat of the person at the top of my chat list, and I could select someone else by tracking down a forum post from them and selecting the option to chat with them.

I never could select someone different directly in the chat window, and that hasn't been fixed with the new version.

Here's your complaint: unless (generic) you've changed things in the past 12 hours or so, chat is now completely un-usable on my ipad. Works on the laptop, but the only thing gained is extra clicks before I can do anything with it. I'm willing to wait and see how it works in practice on the laptop, but if I can't select anyone on the ipad, then it is literally worse than useless on the ipad (I could clear a notification for something that I can't actually access and review).

Wait, we don't get individual notifications next to each user in that scrollable suggestion list? Like we did in the previous version next to each user in the contacts list?

I'm waiting for my mood to improve before looking more into it, but the more I read about it, the longer it's going to take for my mood to improve.

Yeah, I liked it's simplicity, no bells and whistles, just basic functionality to exchange messages with others.

Good Guy GOG actually left the chat feature crappy because they wanted us to stop wasting time on things like friends and get working on our games backlog, but sadly the normies win this round.

Actually they've just moved it, the username and avatar appear at the top of the chat window now (as well as the avatar at the side)

I stand corrected, but it's not exactly like you say - the username appears at the top of the chat window, but the avatar shows only at the left side.

Anyway, too much unpleasant, and unnecessary, change for one day. I'm off.

To me it looks more complicated than before. Also it's a significant regression that you do not see the names of the chat users anymore. And once again, how can such a blatant bug, that you have to add the users to the list every time you open the chat page, slip through the tests, assuming that someone at GOG even tests anything at all before a release.

The old, colorful GOG worked quite well. You even could buy games while being on a mobile device.

It would be nice if Galaxy stopped opening the main window every time I get a new message.
I only left the chat window open for a reason. ;)
What the fuck even, I assumed this change was basically to improve the mobile experience. NOT make it worse.

I'm pretty sure ZFR is making a joke, referring to the bundling of Galaxy into some of the installers, making you click "more" then "classic installers" to find the non-Galaxy-ified versions.
