I guess plenty of users received an e-mail about CD PROJEKT RED account migration, with the details also available at https://support.cdprojektred.com/en/cdpr-accounts/account/cdpr-accounts/issue/2608/cd-projekt-red-account-migration-faq and an intro stating that "You are receiving this email due to your use of online features, including Cross Progression and My Rewards, in CD PROJEKT RED games, as well as your participation in platforms like the CD PROJEKT RED Forums." Which is weird, because I'm not aware of having anything of the sort. Is it just because I have Witcher 3 in library so technically could get those DRMed things, like My Rewards, if I'd care as little about what GOG should stand for as CDP does?

I too got it. I too am not aware of having ever contracted any of these. I too have TW3.

What is Cross Progression? Presumably not what Jesus had to undergo along the Via Dolorosa.
Maybe it covers GOG accounts because they were merged with CDPR forum accounts in 2015? https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_account_merge_with_cd_projekt_red_forums/page1

If there are GOG users who don't get this e-mail, it would disprove that theory. (I haven't had one so far, but perhaps it'll come later.)

Nope. Don't have that in all my email.
Presumably because I never got Witcher 3, and furthermore never redeemed a CDPR game more modern than Witcher 2.

Cross Progression is a feature CDPR rolled out recently, that allows you to move saves between different devices. Kinda cool if you play W3 on switch and PC

I didn't get such an email and I have the Witcher 3 and all of its DLCs. What I didn't ever do is use Galaxy (haven't logged in even once), so maybe it's that?
Have TW3 too, used Galaxy to download it and the DLCs, have no RED forum account, and didn't get such email either.
I got it as well. Own TW3. I opted out.

Same here, I got The Witchers in my library and I never registered for any My Rewards or Cross Progression service. The email was quite confusing in that regard, wasn't it? Maybe I've been out of the loop about that sort of thing but when they mention "online features and services including Cross Progression and My Rewards for CD PROJEKT RED games" the writing comes off as a tad nebulous and unspecific. It wouldn't have hurt to describe briefly what they were alluding to in order to avoid confusion. Nevertheless, for the time being I don't see any reason to migrate to a CDPR account, but I guess it makes sense for those who play on different platforms.

Unlikely. Unless specifically this pertains to Galaxy 2, which I indeed, have never deigned to use.

I mean, it'd be useful if the staff did what one would logically do in this situation and explain this.

I didn't get the email. Who was the sender and what was the subject?

I guess I can kiss any chance of seeing Offline Installers for My Rewards goodbye... Sigh.
Got that email earlier today, and I opted out immediately. Not only because the same login several places is a security no-no.

My Rewards requires GoG Galaxy (Amazon Prime Cyberpunk 2077 weapons and pre-order DLCs etc.), which I don't have and don't want (CET is SO much better anyway), and Cross Progression is presumably cloud saves, which failed even more spectacularly that I expected when I first said it would be a failure when the feature was announced.

So this one was easy.

I never even downloaded a Galaxy installer, so can't be that.
