As of today, we're starting the process of merging the forum accounts of CD PROJEKT RED forum users and GOG.com forum users. Once the merge is complete, you'll be able to conveniently log in to your CD PROJEKT RED forum account using your GOG.com credentials.

- There will be no loss of forum posts or threads
- There will be no reputation loss on either forum
- Your GOG.com forum nickname will be the one displayed in both places

If your GOG.com nickname is already in use on CD PROJEKT RED forums by another account, a random string of numbers will be added to the end of the other, non-merged CD PROJEKT RED one. In case you would want to switch your username, the option of contacting our support to change it remains open during and after the merge.

If you have an account on the CD PROJEKT RED forum, please go over there and perform your merge - it will be effective within a month from today.

If you have any questions about the merge - don’t hesitate to ask here or in the corresponding thread on the CD PROJEKT RED forum!

[edit] FAQ replies:

1) if you DO NOT have a CD PROJEKT RED forum account, you don't have to do anything at all.

2) CD PROJEKT RED are the guys that made The Witcher series, among others.

3) We're not merging forums, just accounts - you're not going to see their forum topics appearing here or vice versa, the forums are still separate.

Rofl. That might explain some things.
I have different nicknames on gog and the forum. Is it possible to change the gog nickname to the one from the forum or to a different one?

well it would explain it yes

and what about those of us who have no cd projekt red account ?
I don't get the purpose of this at all - but it doesn't sound like it bodes well.

So, these discounts of which the other thread speaks: are they only for people merging two existing accounts?

You can always contact GOG.com support and ask for a nickname change - if the one you want to change yours to is available, of course.
Can someone explain to me in small words that I will understand what CD PROJEKT RED is how, if at all, it effects me?
What will happen if I choose to opt out from the merging process?

Your account will be locked and you'll have to contact GOG.com to reenable it if you still want to participate in community discussions.

:/
So if I am not registered on cd projekt red forums everything will be fine right? Nothing I need to to if I understand all this correctly?
