Even the mafia wiki says that trackers/watchers can be scum-aligned, although it is pretty rare. So I am not exactly discounting the probability that the joint claim could be a scum attempt.

But you are right about something. If scum were to attempt this joint claim, they would have to know no counterclaims would be made, or know that the roles they're attempting to claim are not present in other players dead or alive. So as a scum tactic, this joint claim is riskier business than what I am proposing.

I guess I am going to bite the bullet and drop my theory on ZFR/trent for now. I have a feeling I'll regret it later.

"doesn't necessarily have to be" still means that there is a good chance that there is. There is a good chance there is a tracker/watcher in this game but it's not necessarily so. Trent would be taking a big risk as scum claiming that role.

I see my above post might not be clear so here is an example.

Meaning we can't conclude with certainty they are in, but it would be stupid/risky to assume they are NOT in.

We can't be sure there is a watcher/tracker but it would be very risky from scum!trent to assume there isn't one.

OK, quite some development and bastard modding elements.

First off, I'm not sure what to make of all the wondering and speculation about what a Psychoanalyst is and does (looking at SirPrimalform, PookaMustard and ZFR). The list of possible roles clearly says that it's an investigative role that finds out what modifiers (called qualifiers in that game) a player has.
The post with this list was linked to by Microfishd at the beginning of D2, and has been alluded and referred to a few times already.
Does anyone think that the list and/or the given definitions of them don't apply to our game, in spite the mod clearly stating so in the sign-up OP?
Why did you @SirPrimalform have to google to find info about it, and what forum posts did you find that offered no concrete info on it, but not the one linked to in the sign-up OP?

Seems like they're (over)playing the uninformed townie card with that conditional while prompting any Trackers/Watchers to come forward in order for us to nail the scum that killed Microfishd. And when the Tracker comes out, their follow up is post #812, which makes me squint even harder for all the reasons that ZFR and trentonlf already stated, while playing the newbie townie card regarding the idea of suppementscene's fake-claim (calling it a very obvious self-destruct after having said that the poor planning of it looks calculated).


I had ISO'd blotunga in this game and in the Secret Hitler (SH) one during the weekend, and there's a noticeable difference; he's posted a lot less, and is quite more indecisive this game. I can attribute some of it to out-of-game reasons (like the health issues), but the difference is there. Even without the comparison, his ISO reads like he's treading a tad too carefully, uncomfortable to make any waves, with a lot of reactive (and defensive) play and little to no actual game-solving (latest example, his post #805).

Combined with his reluctance to push supplementscene Yesterday (unvoted with an ambivalent argument, and asking for a counterclaim to untangle things) when it was rather obvious that supplementscene was fake-claiming, it looks more likely that blotunga rolled mafia and is uncomfortable with it after not having played the game for many years, than having rolled townie or third-party and being overwhelmed/uncertain how to play it.


And then we have SirPrimalform. His theory and suspicion appears to rely on nothing more than gut feeling. It's unlikely that scum!trentonlf would false-claim Tracker given that supplementscene flipped Ninja. And while he's backed down (but not before getting flak), I find it interesting that he thinks that trentonlf should repent; SirPrimalform has essentially zero contribution since D1 (the most he's said/commented on is "interesting", and reiterating things already pointed out), yet wanted us to trust his gut now, because of a previous game, and a general (true) observation about ZFR.
He's not given me any reason to town-read him so far, and I don't quite see anything Today that changes it.


I don't think the claims are an elaborate scum!scheme. I've been town-reading trentonlf, and even if I weren't, I don't think that scum!trentonlf would claim Tracker with a mafia Ninja in play, even if a Loud one; too risky for almost no real gain at this juncture. Given that, it'd have been more solid for me if the N2 action confirmation went the other way around, as this self-targetting business sounds a bit odd and I was keeping an eye on ZFR (he's a skilled and devious player whom I can't read that well), but then again this is a bastard-mod setup by JoeSapphire.

Speaking of ZFR - I'm certain that I told you more than once what I thought more likely to be the case, and that I don't/can't see it the way you did; we must have a different definition of "considered", and subscribing my reaction to your theory to scum!me, even with the disclaimer you put in, when you know that I try to look into every detail as town, raises my eyebrow.

As for Korotan, if you really think of me as a veteran, you should at least ask yourself if scum!me would be as obvious as you seem to think to (openly?) buddy-up a newbie that was all over the place and an easy target early on, or if scum!me would keep mum, and see how things go. You could say WIFOM, but I know I'd do the latter.

Why is it "Wine in Front of Me?" It's a reference to the book/film The Princess Bride. The masked man takes two wine glasses. One is poisoned and the challenge is to choose the cup that isn't poisoned. The reasoning is long and cyclical:

"Like all mortals you fear death, so you would keep the poison at a distance, so I cannot drink the wine if front of me. But - you know that I would be aware of this fact, so in order to decieve me you would do the opposite, so I cannot drink the wine in front of you... " (et cetera et cetera)

Out of the two reactions, I think the third scum more likely to react the way you did than the way trent did.
All this is far from conclusive of course. Just a general observation. I'm fully aware that your reaction could be exactly what it is at face value: that of a townie who thinks my idea is possible but isn't sure how likely. I'd never accuse you of being scum based on this bit alone.

There was nothing "obvious" or excessively "open" about your buddying up to Koro. Maybe I used misused "buddy up"; I meant just "be friendly".
And yes I think both Town and Scum would be friendly to newbie. A new scum might overdo the friendliness, but neither you nor trent did that. So unlike Koro I consider your and trent actions towards him to be NAI (Koro, that means "non alignment indicative")

Anyway, now that everyone has posted. I'd like to vote Pooka, blotunga, willing to vote SPF, consider to vote HSL, don't want to vote Koro and definitely not voting trent.

SPF: if the fakeclaim was agreed upon at night, he would have asked a question that scene had the answer to (note, it would be pretty funny if actually the fakeclaim *was* agreed up at night, and the "sleeping in houses" answer was what SPF coached scene to do because SPF didn't read the flavour properly either...). Anyway, even if the fakeclaim wasn't agreed upon at night, I'm not sure scum!SPF would immediately start questioning scene.
I suppose part of me want SPF to be town, because then him mentioning me being able to come up with the fakeclaim scheme would be a genuine compliment, rather than a calculated shade casting by scum!SPF.
What really raised my eyebrow though was SPF's vote on trent. And his claim it's not OMGUS. If not OMGUS, then what? A genuine belief that trent is scum?

HSL: just vague feelings and indications.. The biggest of them is scene's statement at end of D1. But then again scene could be saying that against a townie too.

which brings me to

Pooka. Seems very fishy with the "testing" idea brought yesterday. And finishing it off with "biting the bullet" and "regretting it later". I agree with what HSL wrote about Pooka. Feels weird him asking for a Tracker to come forward, and when he did, asking for that tracker to be "tested".
What's interesting moreover is the almost complete lack of interaction between scene and Pooka in Days 1-3. I think scene's relation to fellow scum would be either to overdo the distancing or... ignore, like Pooka.

With that in mind..

Well the virus on my laptop which opened up on every GoG action the Facebook side is done and my sickness is mostly done too so I am trying to come back to the tides now.

Well what I think about The Hypersomniac and The Canton Calf everyone knows now. Zephyr is innocent to from what Canton Calf says so I believe him so he is innocent too.

This leaves us to me, M. Moutard, Inkblot and Serpant Rime.

About me I said it before and say it again, I am eager but I am sure that I am innocent.

My Prime Suspects would be for one Inkblot because his slip on Zephyr and his cooperation with The Supplement seems strange to me and TrashSeal whas his last suspect. M. Moutard would be the other one because in the beginning she said she need to know what can prevent the mask stealing and because she want unmask Canton Calf just for being sure that he is a hero.
About Serpent Rime I have a bad feeling but can not say for sure what and need more time to read through the transcript about the last time for figuring out what feels bad for me.
