Comments that made me suspect Trent's motives include

Lifthrasil: Maybe trent is right and ZFR is showing LAMIST activity. But perhaps trent is scum, calling out one of the most active town players? I mean, going for small things that aren't even tells is a must on Day 1.
For reasons that others have enumerated, which I can pull up if others desire, plus my gut feelings, I am leaning towards SPF, but do not know if saying so falls into the tell of "being too variable".

Again, is a vote just to vote worse than not voting at all?
^^
all of the above was one post, and contrary to what Zeogold & others can do, the non-scripted forum would not allow me to reply to multiple different people's posts in one post. Shrug.
As it is now Friday, and we have limited time left with which to make a choice, I say:

ZFR is suspicious and yet is too interesting to lynch atm, and has been providing some interesting thoughts. My earlier, now-rescinded vote for him was somewhat characterized by being based upon logic which was in turn based upon slim evidence--and a whole lot of gut feeling.

In Contrast:

SirPrimal has only made explanatory(-to-newbs) or joking posts, ad hasn't really provided serious content attacking one or another. As--from what others say--this seems to me to be very out-of-character for him, I say we should not take a chance on someone who is acting so out-of-the-ordinary.

NOW THEREFORE, let it be known to all that I, Micro Fist, one of the Front-line [and thus Elite] Members of the Saviours of the World [Kudos to @JoeSapphire for spelling "saviour" correctly], having changed out of my action-leotard of green into my dress-uniform & disguise of a double-breasted navy suit, not having acted hastily, frivolously, light-heartedly, or without deep contemplation, but instead acting out of reason, lack of time, and upon my best hunch, gut feeling, and/or educated guess do hereby solemnly, firmly, formally, with a full sense of the importance, weight and awful responsibility which rests upon our shoulders to punish the guilty and to protect the innocent, with sorrow for the innocents who have already suffered, and with a deep sense of sadness and shame that some members of our tight-knit squad could be guilty of the High Crime of TREASON, do hereby proclaim, charge, and declare in the sight of God and of all these witnesses:

@mod Vote Serpent Rime, who is commonly known as SirPrimalform.

The sentence is death by lynching.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of March, in this the year of our Lord [unintelligible bit here]

HypersomniacLive: It's two days later. What do you think about what they said since you made this post?
I was thinking of the same, hopefully analyzing all the players in the game (but it's not a promise that I would end up with it on Day 1, but hopefully I am not distracted or busy to).

So about blotunga and SirP. Since their appearance, and Blotunga did make some effort to catch up with what's going on and he came to the conclusion of addressing the elephant in the room (Fran).

SirP doesn't seem to do much on the other hand. He was completely absent since post 85, evident by lack of contributions in the remaining 15 posts (to 100) and no posts in the 100 to wherever this post ends up (assuming of course he doesn't post before I do). And as pointed out before, his latest post at 85 doesn't reveal anything new. It's just him reiterating the view that my getting on scene's wagon felt too opportunistic. But - and yes, this is meta - knowing what he did in the Secret Hitler game, he was pretty much lurky, no, not unreadable-lurky like flub was, but just his presence was minimal, but not too minimal that it would shoot down a successful Scene (H) chancellorship.

But before I forget, there's the elephant in the room. Fran hasn't posted here since we've began, and we're already closing in on Sunday. My voting choices are shifting from Dedoporno (who has since then put more effort into his posts, allowing me to get a better and more favorable read on him) to SirP and Fran. SirP for not putting much effort into his posts and simply riding the "Pooka jumped on scene" wagon, and Fran...simply to punish lurking, to be honest. If he turns up scum, we'll have quite a lynch, and if turns up to be Town, at least we get the message through that lurking is BAD for Town.

With these considerations in mind, if both SirP and Fran do end up being Town, then I fear that the scum are actually well hidden so far and haven't made a definitive exposure, which would've been great, but all things considered, it is still Day 1.

On another note, trent is a lot more talkative than in the Secret Hitler game, where I had to pay attention to him as his scumbuddy. Not sure if this comes down to the game being played, or meta reasons, but it's something to note. I'm still not exactly sure if that clears him or not, since I remember Scene in that previous game saying trent's mode of operation is to play as Town no matter the actual alignment. I do hope he's Town, given he was an impressive Fascist in the game.

Microfishd: Does this mean that I am an idiot & mafia want me to live for said reason? Hmm.
I assume you're implying I'm mafia and this is my agenda towards you. I'm a hero. I don't want you to live because you're an idiot but because I feel you're one as well. I don't know if you're an idiot as this is the first time we're playing together. I hope the answers to these question become clear with time.

Microfishd: I now know what ISO'ing means, but I am not quite sure how one goes about it, other than with wordpad or a similar editor available for cutting large bodies of text without the formatting errors that notepad is so very fond of. If it is a result of the greasemonkey plugin, I will pass on it for now. I have tampermonkey, and from what I have read, most GM scripts work in TM, and this did not seem to do so. Idk.
If you're referring to Adalia's plugin - it does work. I've used it for as long as it's been available and I just installed it now on my new machine (on Tampermonkey on Chrome).a

While on that topic I figured out what was wrong - I installed Barefoot Essentials via Tampermonkey without knowing that I already had the native chrome plugin and both version started overlap themselves and double everything.

Microfishd: What does this term mean?
One scum publicly accusing and sometimes even taking part in lynching their teammate (most often when they were already partially or fully exposed) to try and gain distance from them and town credit.

avatar
Microfishd: Again, is a vote just to vote worse than not voting at all?
To some extent yes. Voting locks your intention publicly and makes you liable for what you're doing/saying in addition. You're basically putting your money where your mouth is and you can be held accountable for it later on.

Microfishd: The sentence is death by lynching.
Or unmasking :)

PookaMustard: If he turns up scum, we'll have quite a lynch, and if turns up to be Town, at least we get the message through that lurking is BAD for Town.
Yes, but it's still a bummer as we don't gain anything new to work with. As for the passing the message - sounds good, doesn't work. Lurkers will be lurkers and getting lynched hasn't really changed the mind of people who tend to do it.

It's more likely Fran is town and if that turns out to be true we'll be Groundhog daying as Tomorrow we'll be in the exact same situation as we are in now, just 2 townies shorter. Not ideal. I really hope something happens on that front before we hit the deadline.
avatar
Microfishd: Again, is a vote just to vote worse than not voting at all?
That depends. A vote without reason just to appear active is usually scummy. However, towards the end of a Day, when the deadline looms, we are often driven to vote on flimsy reasons. So it often happen that townies vote just to avoid no-lynch. Which makes it a very convenient excuse for scum to jump on a lynch wagon on a townie 'to avoid no-lynch'.

So it is best to give a proper reason for each vote you cast. Not just 'what (s)he said' and not just 'to avoid no-lynch'.

By the way, I like how you embedded your vote in flavour. :-)

Speaking of votes, SirPrimalform didn't appear at all for the last 2 days. Either there is some RL stuff going on or he is just trying to keep a low profile? ... @SirPrimalform: that isn't working. Please return to the game!

And Fran hasn't appeared at all. In spite of having posted in the signup thread. I'm starting to wonder whether that might be due to them being scum after all. For new players being scum is much more intimidating than being town. I remember how anxious I was when I was scum for the first time. Being town is easier. So maybe Fran wants to avoid giving himself away and that's the reason why he is obsessing about what to write. Because he knows that everything he writes will be analyzed. ... A town newbie doesn't have to worry so much, because as town you don't have to to keep up appearances.

At this point I don't even care what the reason is anymore. It's past the point where it's breaking the rules and it needs mod action. Fran said in the signup thread that even though they may not post all the time they are still in. Yeah, right.
Sarifos slams her fist down on the counter and points firmly at Serpent Rime.

"I told you not to edit. Your. Posts," she snarls. Maintaining fierce eye-contact with the startled Saviour, she grips an enormous lever marked 'Vapouriser' and slides it into position.

Puzzlebot announces: "Target Serpent Rime - Target Locked. Obliterating."

A laser cannon folds out of the central pillar, aiming square between Serpent Rime's eyes. There is a whirring hum that quickly rises in pitch...

and a handful of confetti tumbles from the cannon's barrel, accompanied by a reedy honk. All the screens in the command centre read 'Happy Birthday Serpent Rime' in pink and yellow letters.

JoeSapphire: ...
Could you please urge Fran to make an appearance here. Or find a replacement?
I'm sorry if I feel a bit absent-minded, but there is a lot going on IRL and I'm doing my best to squeeze this in here too.

Now back on topic. So far only scene stood out only with a less than usual aggressiveness. I wish I'd have more to hang on for the others, zfr hasn't said much since the switchbait, lift seems to be on the spf vagon now, and with others in tail. Now, I don't have time to always go back tens of posts and re-read all, so please bear with me in case I miss something or by accident confuse stuff.
That being said I still haven't completely made up my mind, it would be nice if Joe would provide a summary of the current votes just that I have a better overview.

3 - Serpent Rime (SirPrimalform) - Lifthrasil, ZFR, Microfishd,

I voted scene. Not SPF.

Could you also prod Koro? Check if he's playing or not?
