Elmofongo: STOP LINKING THE QUATERTING!!!
If Yong Yea, LegacyKillaHD, ReviewTechUSA, Jim Sterling, or others talk of it and i notice it, i will likely link it instead.

I don't get your hate for 'guy reading from an article' or 'shows video feed that's relevant'.

Though, Blizzcon 2019 Erupts Into Protests! LegacyKillaHD

Blitzchung is still playing the game and he joined Tempostorm. There is still some good that resulted from the situation.

Of all of them the most I can tolerate is YongYea and even then I have gripes with that guy.

Mhmm.. If Bethesda and Fallout76 stops making such huge fuckups, maybe YongYea can cover other things.

Take everything with a grain of salt, but those with a far better track record get more trust than those that have proven to be liars more often.

But i feel you man. All i want to do is play games. But nowhere is safe anymore.

Some people reallly dislike e-celebs with a passion, sadly.

Also Jim Sterling...isn't he the edgy dude with suits and fancy hats in all his videos that acts like he's in citizen kane?

Aside: I wish MORE YT-ers dropped the fancy gimmicks and talked like normal people. No fancy outfits, no fancy editing, just them talking about stuff like regular people.

Also I wish they'd all stop using the same intro/end phrases/tones of voice each and every time. It's ok if they're catchy/interesting but often they grate on one's nerves when overused.

If you only watch the Jimquisition, he's a snarky self centered asshole god figure... who happens to point out the terrible state of video game companies.

If you watch his jimpressions and other videos when he's not going off a script, he admits he's gay, plays D&D, and seems a pretty nice guy, and you realize that the snarky character for Jimquisition is an act for that show alone.

If they aren't trying to sell you a product because they were handed money to be 'influencers' then they are probably fine. I think a lot of people got burned when it let out quite a few of the youtubers were getting paid to basically do an advertisement for a product (Xbox & Warner brothers), or using their userbase in order to do unethical gambling on a site they owned and rigged to win on their own spins for show.

Sounds good, then, but he still sounds like he falls in the old "do stuff this or that way most of the time because people expect it and it gets more hits" trap. I will watch more of his stuff when I have time, though.

Talkimg about advertising, many of them do it......Quartering shills manscaping stuff ffs(balls shavers and wipes), and other things.....and many others do as well.

I still watch and like some of their stuff, but I tend to respect those who don't shill stuff more.

When it's an obvious advertisement, that's acceptable because you know it's an ad. But when it's hidden, when it seems like it's their own views and they had a 30 page NDA they signed where they can only say good things about said product. Most namely Shadow or Mordor and the Xbox hashtag of which i can't find where the hashtag in the name was the only way to identify which ones were doing this.

You know despite everything wrong with the gaming industry at the moment, I still find gaming more worth my investment compared to Movies at the moment.

There are new video games that I actually want to look forward to and play.

I have not seen a single NEW movie or television series that actually caught my attention, worth my investment, and actually would want to see again in years now.

Ditto. The outer worlds looks particularly promising.

At least not from Hollywood. Since 2000 i've seen nearly nothing that catches my attention. On the other hand lots of Anime are enjoyable and at the right streaming sites cost nothing to watch.

Here is one of my favorites, That time i was reincarnated as a slime. Funny lighthearted, Iseki, fantasy adventure. Maybe you'll find something you'll enjoy watching.

I don't like people who shill stuff, though. Let em make money through patreon/etc......unless they can make it funny like some do.

Hmmm... back before the adpocalypse, few were doing paid avertisements, except maybe dollar shave club. Now? It's almost mandatory along with patreon. At least if you want to make a living on it, or supplement your income.

The only movie I am looking forward to is The Irishman.

I am cautious about Netflix's The Witcher, Amazon's Lord of the Rings and Star Trek: Picard

And some make a good living just of patreon/subscribestar/etc, or a small ad on the end of the video. They don't need to shill for minutes on each video if they want to make a living.

Considering how woke NetFlix is, i wouldn't be surprised...

I can't say any movie coming out interests me.

Undoubtedly some do. I wonder how much of it is contractually obligated... Though i'd figure most of them would have a time blurb of 10-30 seconds somewhere in the video, probably at the beginning somewhere.

I don't know. I hate advertisements in general. Though i also tend to skip long advertisements to get straight to the content. Decent advertisements blend in with the content or as you say are at the end sorta resuming where the content left off at... sorta...
