It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Pajama: I'm not sure if it's me but your script only seems to work on the main GOG page and not at all on the forum pages. BE even disappears in the drop down menu too. Running FireFox 53.0 if that's any help.

Barefoot_Monkey: Seems to break when Adalia Fundamentals is enabled. For now you'll just have to choose one or the other until we can sort out the conflict.
Hmmm, seems to be working fine on Chrome... Let me check on Firefox and see what happens.
Nope, updated my Firefox version to latest as well and both scripts seem to work fine...

Let me know if you can figure out what it is and I'll fix anything that needs fixing on my end.

As far as I can see it's all to do with the angular injector working oddly in Firefox 53, and not because of anything you did, and having both of our scripts just happens to cause a problem. I have some ideas that I'm looking into that might solve it.

FWIW, I have the same problem, except that BE also doesn't work on the front page with AF enabled, and I"m on Firefox 52.0.2 (32bit, EME-free), and not 53.

As a workaround, I've added the code to restore the BE link in the account tab to v.2.14, which works with AF enabled, and added the tweak to get rid of the dimming to my GOG userstyle file.

Barefoot_Monkey: I had to remove all the features to customise the old navigation bar, because none of them worked for the new one. I'll be adding them back as I go though, and the absolute position is one I'll be adding soon.
Brilliant. Thanks again :)
Adding my thanks as well.
The forum background still darkens when I open something in the top menu, regardless of whether "Remove the dark menu overlay" is ticked or not. (Using the native chrome extension v2.17 / Chrome 58.0.3029.81 (64-bit) / MacOS Sierra 10.12.4)
Alright, since angular injection is being unpredictable I managed to refactor the code to avoid it entirely, and AF and BE now work together perfectly for me. I just need to finish off a few things and I'll publish the update.
Removing the purple strip works nicely. Thank you for keeping the Essentials up-to date and for continuing to improve them! :-)

Thanks a ton for persisting! BE and AF have become so indispensable to me that I can't imagine using the site without them, and I'd be inconsolable if I had to choose between them. You guys rock!
Thanks for giving us the two additional options (looking forward to further enhancements). I noticed that reloading the page however does show the purple bar again for a short moment. This did not happen as I deactivated it using some CSS code I found in another thread. Using Firefox 53.0 in case it is important.

Version 2.18 is released. This version fixes issues preventing some browsers from having both BE and AF working at the same time. As a side-effect, it should also cause Barefoot Essentials to load slightly quicker than before.

It also adds themes for the navigation bar. Currently there are 3 themes: normal, normal with the purple stripe removed, and third theme to imitate GOG's previous navigation bar (but with a colourful logo, of course). More themes can be added later.

The option to remove the purple stripe from the navigation bar has been removed, as that is now handled through themes.
Thanks for the update :-)

Thank you very much for the themes. I love the fact that you brought back colour to the GOG logo but was it your intention to make the navigation bar completely transparent?

For comparision - new GOG layout with new theme:

Nope, the navigation bar shouldn't be transparent. I'll look into it. Which navigation bar theme are you using to make it go transparent, and what browser (and browser version) are you using?
