It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

moonshineshadow: Just wanted to ask, if you can do something about moving the new menu bar. Or getting rid of this small purple coloured stripe above the black menu bar. Because I like the new design, but this small space thing in between is really irritating o.O

As a workaround to get at least riud of the purple bar I used this script (found in another thread but cannot remember where):

"@-moz-document url-prefix("https://www.gog.com")
{
.menu::before {
background-image: none !important;
}"

It seems to work - but I have no idea if this is correct.

Barefoot_Monkey: Version 2.16 is released. The "Essentials" link in the account menu is restored and all the features to customise the old navigation bar have been removed as they don't apply to the new navigation bar. With this, Barefoot Essentials is now compatible with GOG's recent website changes.

In the next few days I'll be adding features to customise the new bar, allowing you to change the logo and colours, and get rid of that purple bar if you don't like it.
This sounds awesome. Would be great if you could make the dimming whenever hovering over the menu bar also - it drives me crazy. Thank you for all you are doing here.

Edit: Update worked and Essentials button is back. Thank you for this, too.

Cheers, but for some reason I've lost BE completely.

That's what I did at first, too. Then I decided I wouldn't mind if it reappeared on hover, so I then changed it to this:
.menu:not(:hover)::before{
background-image:none!important
}
When the cursor is not hovering over the menu then the image will be none. I mention this because it's tricky because the "::before" must always be at the end of a selector so the ":not()" must come prior, and this is one way making it appear can be done with only one rule rather than two (one on hover, one without hover).

Though, I'm getting the feeling you are probably not wanting that stripe at all, and that you are probably just going to wait for the update in hopes you'll have more options (like color) without fiddling much with these personal modifications. :-)

It's definitely something about v.2.16 that doesn't like me - as soon as I update to that, BE goes poof. And I have no idea where to start looking for a possible reason. Only thing I can tell you is that I've not made any changes to my browser (v.52.0.2), and nothing in the console made me any wiser.

I'm also not sure if there's a point quoting people, since we get absolutely no notifications of any sort.

They got rid of notifications too? Great. Made the site LESS mobile friendly and got rid of notifications. How beautiful. And to make things better, I can't get to my library from GOG's slick new menu anymore. None of the links under my name are interactable in mobile. New update is completely fucking useless to me.

I don't know if they actually killed them for good, or if it's simply another of GOG's half-arsed jobs at changing things and breaking all sort of functionality in the process. The notifications issue was brought up multiple times in the news thread, but not a single blue text comment about it, or other things not working properly now. Then again, communication with the users is of no priority to GOG for a very long time now.

I'm sorry things got even less mobile friendly. I guess that as long as they don't develop an actual mobile version, there will always be issues, no matter how many times GOG claims that things get better for users of mobile devices.
Thank you for your hard work. Couldn't have asked for a better support.

Version 2.17 is out. This gives you the ability to customise the new navigation bar by removing that purple line if you don't like it, and also by hiding the menu overlay so that the rest of the page no longer goes dark when you open one of the navigation menus.
Thank you!

Thank you so much. One thing that doesn't work for me anymore though is the setting to have the navigation bar be absolute instead of fixed. I'm on FF 52.1.0 (the WinXP specific ESR release).

I'm not sure if it's me but your script only seems to work on the main GOG page and not at all on the forum pages. BE even disappears in the drop down menu too. Running FireFox 53.0 if that's any help.

I'm not experiencing this at all. It is present in the forum menus on Firefox 53 (x64) for me.
Yay, Barefoot to the rescue. Thanks :)

I had to remove all the features to customise the old navigation bar, because none of them worked for the new one. I'll be adding them back as I go though, and the absolute position is one I'll be adding soon.

Seems to break when Adalia Fundamentals is enabled. For now you'll just have to choose one or the other until we can sort out the conflict.
