CymTyr: So, just sitting here, after watching the Browns lose another game. Between this year (10 games) and last year's 16 games, they won one game last year, so they're now 1-25 between this and last year.

I'm genuinely interested in whether this puts them in the hall of fame as the worst sports team of all time. There was an American football team that went 0-16 (winless) a while back, but it won 4-5 games the year before, and 4-5 games if I'm remembering correctly, the year after.

Being in Northeastern Ohio, I've always been brainwashed that the Browns are a lifelong commitment, and if I stop following them, I'm a quitter. Frankly, I feel that's a load of bullcrap.

The Browns haven't been relevant since they left Ohio in 1995-6 and went to Baltimore, becoming the Baltimore Ravens. They've been in the playoffs once, for exactly one game, since 1999 when coming back to the league. They've had two winning seasons since 1999 one in 2002, one in 2007.

The most games they've won in a single season outside of those two years, was 7 a few years ago, out of 16, making them 7-9 for that year.

I need some help here. I'm tired of people around here making me feel bad because I don't want to support a shitty team that finds new ways to lose every week. This isn't fun, it's not enjoyable, and it frustrates me that due to the nature of the NFL, the owner walks away with 100+ million in profits at the BEGINNING of the season, after expenses for the season are paid.

Is it time to just give up on sports, focus on gaming and twitch? Should I just find other hobbies, maybe play my guitar more? For you Europeans, I know football is a way of life for a lot of you. How do you non football fans handle not being involved in sports, and the stigma it brings?

Honestly, I'm at the point where I don't care anymore if these people around here call me a quitter for giving up on the Browns. These guys suck more than a vacuum cleaner hooked up to a 50 amp outlet.
Just pick up a 6-pack or 2 of Great Lakes Brewing co. beers. Good beer makes bad football teams more tolerable. Or watch the Buckeyes instead. (WOLVERINES SUCK!!!!!!)

The Lions won today.
Yes.

ADDED: I'm not being facetious either. I've thought about this, and I do think they're worst Pro Sports Team of the "Big 4" in the United States (NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA). I would bet my last dollar that there's probably a worst franchise in professional sports somewhere on this planet, but yea, I think they're the worst in the US big four.

ADDED2: The reason I've thought about this is because I live in the suburbs of Washington DC and all you hear is REDSKINS REDSKINS REDSKINS. Never mind about the offensive and racist nature of their name, the team SUCKS. LOL. I don't follow them much but I do know they SUCK. And I've wondered if they're the worst team in the NFL, or maybe in the country. But every time I do a little research, I do have to admit that the Cleveland Browns are far worse. They really are bad. And since you're a big fan of them, I do feel badly for you.

Yeah I have better things to do than to watch millionaires not do what they're being paid to do. I think I'm done with NFL football for the year.

3-13
1-15
0-10

That's there 2015, 2016, and 2017 records. So since 2015 they're a combined 4-38. No other NFL team is worse, or really very close.

Raiders fan here. They had a pretty sorry run, finally got gud again & blew while making themselves lame ducks in their hometown over the next couple of seasons. : (
I still watch. & drink beer.
Born and raised in St Louis.

Last year we went 0-0.
This year isn't looking much better.

Of course, that was our record for most of the 80s and 90s as well.

Yeah but they do have a Super Bowl title. (As do the Raiders). The Browns.... not so much.

Not according to L.A. and Yahoo. :P When you look it up, that title is attributed to the LA Rams. Not that it matters because I don't live there anymore.

No reason not to. My local(ish) options are the Lions(HA!) or the Browns(see OP).
