For anyone that wants some more shiny for their AMD Ryzen build, you're in luck.
Wraith Prism is like the previous coolers, but instead of just a red light around the rim, this one'll be RGB.

Well, I thought I went overboard with adding an AIO cooler to my build, but there's always someone that has to go that one bit further...

Do not try at.....ANYWHERE!
so did anyone get how many spectre variants exist 2 or 3?

and ryzen is vulnerable to variant 2 and 3 only?

and will it be patched though a microcode update?

will i still need spectre windows patches and programm patches even after the microcode update?

Ryzen 5 2400G showed up on Spanish Amazon:

https://www.amazon.es/AMD-Ryzen-2400G-Procesador-Graphics/dp/B079D8FD28/

Price is 152.94€, was expecting to be cheaper since 169$ is 138€. Still very good value for 4C/8T CPU and RX Vega 11 GPU.

Ryzen 3 2200G is also on pre-order for 95.77€:

With the release of these CPU's I wonder what's the point of considering Intel any longer these days, Intel HD graphics doesn't even stand a chance against Vega and the 2200G is also unlocked.

Can't wait for the benchmarks next Monday :-)

I saw this one but it seems to be only 1 model so far, and it's more likely being targeted for laptops. If Ryzen APU's prove to be a success (in my opinion they will), Intel might have to adapt their next lineup, just as they did with i3 quad core.

I read somewhere that they target minicomputers like these https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/boards-kits/nuc.html?amp

Probably suitable for all-in-ones too. I guess too much heat for a laptop.

I love having selection and seeing this is good for everyone when AMD and INTEL can work together and maybe have a baby and create something beastly someday for us. but for now this is a good first step in something good.
Anyone have thoughts / insight about when/if Ryzen can reach 5GHz?

Not now, be happy with a stable 4GHz. The second generation Zen+ is being released until the summer so we'll see what it has to offer

Not yet, the recently released Ryzen 2000 series are just 200Mhz faster. So hopes are that the best ones, might be overclocked to 4.5. We'll have to wait for the next iteration, Ryzen 2.

EDIT: For my peace of mind, I need to correct what I said above. The recently released Ryzen 2xxx series are not Zen+. They are just a small refresh of the original Zen. When it comes to frequencies they are identical to Ryzen. Sometime around April AMD is expected to release some new Zen+ processors, which are speculated to be 200Mhz faster, though nothing has been officially/unofficialy announced. After Zen+, sometime in 2019 Zen2 will be released.

It'll be a cold day in hell before AMD creates a better CPU than Intel (and no, cheaper doesn't mean better).

They have made one before, why can't they do it again?

What? Ryzen is 10% slower than Intel. What do you mean? Intel is not ready to move away from the current 14nm technology, which they have been milking for over 10 years, while AMD is talking about 7nm by the beginning of next year.
