I guess the up side, is that any problems spotted before now, may be fixed as you'll most likely get a newer board :)
I doubt they're rolling a new revision of the board in just three weeks.

They're throwing out BIOS updates pretty frequently for stability/ RAM/ overclocking improvements which ASUS/ MSI boards in particular needed. But yeah, physical revisions aren't likely for a while.

All of Europe seems to be short of MBs and pretty short of R7s (especially 1700s) too.

Supposed release date for the mid range 6 core/ 4 core R5s is April 17, so around a month away.
Spotted on another forum, apparently April 11th Ryzen5 releases.

Well, I guess this is Microsoft's answer to Win7 performing substantially better with Ryzen CPUs than Win10 does:

Huh. OK, guess I'll be pulling the updates manually then.

Also, MS, stop being such useless, backwards asshats. This is not your PC. This is my PC. Just let this dream of controlling everyone's computing experience go. *Frozen theme starts playing*

Gotta sell Windowzes 10. :D

btw, how they will sell windows 10, let's say, 10 years later? They said that Windows 10 will be the last Windows.
They'll adopt naming schemes from Apple, like Windows 10 "El General", Windows 10 "Snow Dawg", etc for new versions?

From what I recall, they said they'd just keep updating win10 & name wouldn't change.
With any luck though, Linux will gain a larger following than it already has.

That's if still possible. No doubt micro$haft will find a way to stop that from being possible.

But they won't shut down theirs business on selling Windows.
They haven't declared theirs plans yet? I lost keeping track of it.
They're definitely pushing win10 more than before.
Halo Wars 2 demo is available, but it's win10 only, due to DX12... Yet, it can run on old hard ware.

I head that 'larger following' since I first used Fedora a long time ago.

Never happened.
I'm looking at those new 5 series chips... those look incredible. I think I might end up building my first PC since my Athlon X3. I will probably try to set it up as a VM platform that will handle direct dedicated GPU access, like unRAID or something.
Ex-M$ also stating that it's clear that micro$oft just grabbing everyones data for no good reason, other than money.

Ryzen 7 looks good, if Ryzen 5 is in the 10% range of latest I5 Intel (IPC), I'll sell my Haswell build and build one with Ryzen 5.
