adamhm: The wrapper for Deus Ex has been updated & wrappers for Deus Ex: Revision and XIII are now available.

Revision requires the Deus Ex wrapper; you can either run its build script alongside the Deus Ex wrapper directory or just put the files for both wrappers together & the Revision installer will run the Deus Ex wrapper build script first.
Cool! I haven't got around to checking out Revision. Maybe this will be the incentive to do so!

System Shock 2's wrapper has now been updated for the new installer. A newer version of gogextract was required so that has also been updated, and all of the other wrappers that use gogextract (Freedom Force, Jazz Jackrabbit 2+, Mafia 2) have received a small update to use the new version.

adamhm: This thread is for news, FAQ and discussion pertaining to my Wine wrappers. Feel free to post here if you need help with any of them or have any questions.
I have one. I think I'm having trouble running the script for Hitman: Codename 47 on account of having installed the latest Wine version separately. When I run the script, it fails to create the directory described in the Readme.txt.

It might have something to do with the Wine dependencies. I'm unsure, however. I have installed icoutils and the extracting of the .zip file or whatever archive it is, goes perfectly.

I have tried playing Hitman and it plays fine, however, I know the script did nothing based on no widescreen being present.

It should display error messages indicating what the problem is - make sure to run it from the terminal so you can see them.

Oh. Well, that explains it somewhat. I always run it as is because terminals still make me a bit, prompty. I will be more commanding this time and run it terminally and report back.

Thank you for the prompt reply. So you always have to drag and drop it into a terminal to make the script work? It seems it did nothing when I just double clicked it but when I dragged into a terminal, it created the folder and everything. So thank you, adamhm.

That doesn't sound right... as long as you have all the dependencies & the installer and wrapper files are together in one place it should work regardless of whether it's started from the terminal or not. Running it from the terminal shouldn't make any difference besides allowing you to see the messages it displays.

(I strongly recommend running them from the terminal though, so you can see when it's finished or any error messages that pop up if it fails)

I have no idea why it did nothing before but it worked flawlessly this time around. I was playing the game for 13 minutes or so and it ran perfectly. I do have the 64 bit version of Wine installed and it automatically installed some other version but it's a 32 bit game anyway as far as I know so whatever it did, worked. Thank your for the help. I will keep in mind to run it from the terminal to see the details of the matter for any executable.

I have a suspicion about what the issue might have been as I spotted a small mistake in the build scripts (if there was a space in the pathname it would have caused it to fail), it's a quick & easy fix though - I've updated the build scripts for all wrappers.

The wrapper for SWAT 4 now includes an installer/updater/start script and icon for the Elite Force mod. https://www.moddb.com/mods/swat-elite-force :)

Nice! Two more out of the Windows box. Thank you, adamhm! :)
Thanks, adamhm!
Oh, now I regret I didn't bought Driftmoon in one of nice Daily Deals recently...
Far out! Thanks for the monumental amount of work you put into this adamhm!

Exactly - I think he should be on GOG paylist :) I suppose there is quite decent sale volume being related with these wrappers. At least my own purchases (and also no-buy decisions) are affected by adamhm's list.
