i am 19 now. my favorite series is fallout. my 2nd favorite is half-life. i had a nintendo when these games were released, and had no idea what a pc was, so no i didnt play them at their time. actually a lot later. and here are my opinions:
i think far cry 2 is crap compared to duke nukem 3d.
i think fallout 3 is crap and an insult compared to the first two.
i think graphics is just a new marketing technique for the "younger generation"... okay... KIDZ
i think there will never be something like Thief: The Dark Project again
also the first 2d worms games were godlike compard to the new 3d ones.
i could go on but you get my point. you dont need to be old to find the old games better than most of the new ones today.

Why not? The place is as good as any ;) No seriously, cheer up. I was just stating the fact. The thing is I'm currently playing "The Pitt" DLC and I'm trying to find one thing which is better in F3 then F1&2 and I can't. And this thing with inteligence. How can a retard (in F2 with inteligence that low I could berly be able to carry on any meaningful dialogue) be able to max all the skills and win every skill check, including speech checks. Sombody should repair that game.

Both Fallout 1/2 & 3, are very good games. They are just different. I'm now playing Fallout 1 properly. I bought it back in 1998, but I found the game to be too complex and my English was limited back then...
These days, I'm actually loving this game!
As a side note, I already completed Fallout 3, and I must say, I loved that game too.
Next up will be Fallout 2.

I just need to point this out: No real fan would be disappointed that it wasn't interplay. Because Interplay wouldn't have done any better than Bethesda. The real fans know that Interplay canned the guys who made Fallout shortly before they released Fallout 2.
Those three guys went on to form Troika.
THAT is the company that proper fans are disappointed that didn't make F3. :)

I liked it myself. Then again I liked the other 3 as well (never seen the console one but I'm told thats a blessing), they're all good games in the fallout universe as far as I'm concerned even if they don't always agree on the story
