Arnuz: What to do?
Just replay the turn, perhaps? Personally, I leave RuneMasters alone unless I'm toting stronger forces than any of us have right now. That's the same reason I left that cannon and friends alone in the watch tower between our lands...

The runemaster pawns in melee but it's slow, easy to kite, just keep the lurkers in the middle and it runs after a priest or a hero. It's just annoying to do. I guess I'll retry and keep the units in the fight, rather than retreating them, needs to move them all around so it's going to take one hour lol...

The reason I asked is the map, with the elves having both healing houses while the others have independents that attack early even if you win you wouldn't prove much tbh. As you prefer.

If you end up in a similar fight don't let it end on turn 25 do it one turn earlier!

If you two want to punt on the map, we can do that... Whole point is to have fun, not just play out a scenario that only rewards one of three players for half the game. Especially if that player (me) didn't actually do anything bold or exceptional to gain their advantage. With your winged scouts, you can see much, much more of the world than I can so I'll defer to your judgement. I honestly don't know what the two of you have on the board.

I have a boar, three frogs, a crossbow, a catapult, a human cavalry, a goblin cavalry, and a weak hero (less than 10 in attack, defense, and damage!). And a goblin bomb. And that's about it.

I was thinking about trolling you by casting Free Movement on my wizard and walking into the mountains for 10-15 turns. :)

More seriously, I figure this is a good chance for Arnuz to learn in what is now a low pressure situation; I'm willing to keep going if he is. It is a chance for me to try out the Spirit of Nature as well.

If it were you and me, I'd probably have already conceded (or quite possibly already be dead).
We find a battlteaxe guarded by dwarves, then forget to pick it up.

Couldn't stand the thought of repeating the kiting battle and went in against the runemaster, finally a halfling slinger was way scarier... And deadly.

lol

A quest gives us an interesting reward, way too late to be a meaningful difference.

Elves, Day 14

Hmm, not as exciting as I'd hoped for, but the moral of the story is that one must keep up team morale. Today we had a pep rally.

Alas, farewell poor boar, catapult, and frog! Farewell, and know that the rest of us shall soon join you!

At least, I assume you wiped them out. Only reason you wouldn't have is if you got really bad luck in the auto-combat, and that isn't going to go in my favor.

Actually, I couldn't reach them. My troops don't move too fast through swamps... Luckily, other units were better located and ready to secure assets once the War began. Hopefully production was much disrupted.

Huh. Must have been Arnuz then, because I have very little to disrupt.
"troops were located" = this map on top of everything the indepependents do to neutral and evil, also has good aligned camps everywhere, so a bunch of halflings popped up right at the entrance of the small underground area with the centre faction mine and node.

The map must be designed by some elf power rebel :P

You guys had camp sites to raid?? And access to an underground?

Man, the more I hear about this map, the worse my area looks. :(
