Goblins, Day 10

To be honest, I'm kind of bored. I can see more Mimo units than I can Bookwyrm units. I see no way this is recoverable.

TS
Have you had any attack from independents Mimo?
Elves, Day 10

We are the second explorer into all dens of wandering indies. We get none of the rewards of said exploration, but none of the negative either.

Today we crossed the Rubicon at the head of our cavalry. Don't really know what that means in regard to the world of Arvados, but perhaps we shall find out eventually.

TS
Goblins, Day 11

We walked half our army.

TS
The Elves have now more cities than both opponents put together.

No that's not it, we were both attacked at the very start, within the core area. One of the cannon garrisons left its tower and killed both my war machines, slowing down the conquest of the neutral cities dramatically...

A pair of Herbalists had already entered my lands on Turn 2, and they were actively hunting my units. I killed one (in the battle that cost me most of my existing army), and the other made a beeline for my tower.

Re: Indies

Strange. Apparently, I successfully picked a random map, assigned myself a random Wizard, and screwed you both over. I have to admit that is awesome. I wish I'd saved this incredible string of random good luck for something more valuable like buying a lottery ticket or something.

Oh well, I assume you two will now begin the "Put Mimo and the Elves in their place plan."

Sorry about screwing you both over on this map by accident. That's not as much fun as doing it on purpose via cleverness. :)

To be fair, half of my problems are my own screw ups.

I knew the Herbalists were hunting me after I watched them chase one of my units for two turns. I was faced with the choice of delaying conquest of my first city by two turns, delay one turn and risk them using the auto-combat on the indy turn, or (my choice) approach and hope I can manipulate things enough to work.

It also doesn't help that my first production units were slaughtered by a pair of Shadow Demon Bombards. I didn't even get close to getting close to them before dying.

I'm not holding out much hope that it will be more than "Get slaughtered by Mimo and the Elves at the same time, instead of one by one" plan, but we'll see. :)
Elves, Day 11

Hmmm. I have a sneaking suspicion that the days of exploring and resource grabbing are over. I wonder why? Maybe just that itch that can't be scratched...

I remind my potential foes to abide by the rules of peace breaking. Break peace today, attack tomorrow. :)

Oh yeah, lose the initiative in the meantime and play reactively instead of proactively...

Pointy ears rule!

TS
Mab, Day 12

Huh. This experiment might prove more useful than I thought.

TS
Elves, Day 12

Interesting turn of nothing happening. Or at least nothing that I'm willing to share with the non-Elves.

You raided a ruin, your hero got cursed, and you found the Star Shield for both Physical and Magical protection.

Goblins, Day 13

We see the elves gathering a force.

TS
OK I've spent the last 30' kiting a runemaster around to whittle it down with lurkers (lol half poison damage) to finally discover that the units that I retreated to make this a bit less unbearable disappeared, despite finally winning the fight.

What to do? At this point I'm proposing to perhaps fix the roaming indies before starting again, as it's obvious who's the winner (the independents what did you think Mimo), or do a different one...
PS just to clarify: the units left the battle alive through the arrows at the borders, the only reason this happened I could think of is that it lasted till turn 25.

I knew about the 25 turn limit on battles. I didn't know retreated units might be removed if the turn limit was reached.
