Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six®

We are still using commands and replies of this game in real life :) Its the starter, best and the king of the tactical fps genre. It's musics still using in some videos or tv programs, and weapon sounds ? statistics? all is real. I played all of the rainbow series and newer versions not have the same spirit. You must play and taste it. Feel the atmosphere, rescue the hostage , defuse the bomb! NOT like cheaep cs style!

First of all, Rouge Spear is one of my favorite games (which unfortunatelly does not run on my current pc), but I did not play Rainbow Six until now. For R6 is very similar to RS, I really like the game, too. Unfortunatelly it has a lot of glitches (that are confirmed in the gog-forums as well): Often there are enemys or hostages marked on the map, and they even seem to be turning around occasionally, but they are not to be seen in the main game-screen. Normally you would win a level, if you either kill all terrorists, or escort the hostages to the rescue-zone, but in some maps, there are 'ghost- terrorists' and 'ghost-hostages', so you can not win at all, because the games thinks, there are still terrorists living and hostages not rescued (e.g. the amusement-park). Another glitch is, that I often can see through some walls (e.g. in the Congo and the Spain-map). I have checked youtube videos that did not have this bug. (I am using a GTX 750ti.) In regard to the content, I am missing the 'terrorist hunt'-mode, that I loved playing in Rouge Spear. The AI is not as balanced, too: The enemys will kill in the very instant they have eye contact and your teammates sometimes are running in circles. I hope GOG will at least get rid of the bug with the 'ghosts' - in the forums some people say that you need to replace some files with the ones from the original CD, but I obviously do not own that...

Doesn't even work with Windows 7.

the reason for my purchase on good old games was that they make most games compatible with modern operating systems like windows 10. too bad they didn't with rainbow six, though. there are several graphical issues and sometimes the game won't even start. this is subpar quality / service, especially for good old games. Do not Buy!

Great game but as many have said, there may be some technical hiccups. Go and download the mod 'Rainbow 6 black ops.' It includes all Rainbow 6 titles and expansion packs before Raven shield (which is on steam and works fine). Black Ops basically removes all the technical issues and runs great. Don't even need this copy to play!
