Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six®

Was not able to get this to work at all on my windows 10. Able to play on a Windows 7 OS but after the 5th mission all the default mission plans are blank! I love planning my own but I also like doing the pre determined mission plans. Also have the ghost hostage/ghost terrorist issue. Tried different installs through the gog galaxy as well as offline file. No use. This game was so good when I played it as a kid. And better than R63 imo. But this version is complete trash. Unplayable past the 5th mission for me.

Can't seem to get it running at all on Windows 11 sadly.

I'll keep this short, but this game was AMAZING in it's time. Very frustrating at first (how fast you die etc) but once you give it a chance, get used to it, the game just gets so exciting and fun. Multiplayer was also great. Great game, give it a go! Just remember! With all Rainbow 6 games, they are very very irratating at first, simply because you do tend to do very fast and sometimes can't even tell who shot you etc - put auto aim on and get used to the game then you'll love it.

Well, everybody knows you can't play the latest shooter on a netbook. But, I decided to try it out after reading the glowing reviews by the others and I'm totally satisfied. Although, at first I thought I had problem with the file as it keep telling me that the file is corrupted. But, after I read the help file which told me to skip the integrity check and just go ahead installing it. It installed without any hitch! I'm an avid FPS shooter especially the latest COD and even Rainbow Six Vegas but been looking for a great FPS for my netbook and this is it. Definitely, a must buy. It's pretty smooth framerates unlike Far Cry which is graphic intensive. You can play it in first person view or third. No, matter. This is the best tactical game for a netbook yet. Make me love my netbook n Gog more! More such games plsss....

The concept and most of the implementation is good. The planning works, the guns work, the equipment works. You know what does not work? The AI. The enemy AI is great. I once saw one guy calmly walk up to three of my squadmates and took his time executing them while they stared at a wall. I ended up just instructing them to carry equipment and give me cover since they would just keep dying. They make absolutely no attempt to react to a threat. They will gladly walk by a door that had several of their squadmates die in front of. The enemy AI has great aim and will execute hostages at a drop of a hat no matter how many less-than-lethal grenades you chuck at them. There was one point where I literally had to no clip through the wall because one terrorist would kill a hostage no matter what I tried. If you don't mind filling in for your squadmates, then this is not a bad tactical FPS. Personally, I think SWAT 4 did it best.
