STAR WARS™ Episode I: Racer

Even if you're not a huge fan of Star Wars, you can easily set aside the Star Wars skin and underneath you will find a great racing game. It's amazing the fixes they did to get this to work so smoothly on Windows 10 because trying to get old PC copies to work even on emulators was an effort in frustration (and the N64 version, while smooth, looks like a pixelated mess). There's just enough mechanics to keep it interesting but not overwhelming, the unlocks happen at a reasonable pace, and the AI is built to feel fair (not like some other games where they suddenly appear behind you no matter how perfect your skills are). This game is just pure fun!

I'm getting _6_ FPS in 4K with a GTX 1070 on a 24 year old game. Unilke GOG Shadows of the Empire, this does not run well at all on PC. Time to bust out an EMULATOR to play the game I purchased from GOG.

Game still crashes on launch. I followed KillerTruffle's guide, but I get the same error as before. Cant open the videosettings, because same error

Broken game. On Vengeance, no ability to control the character through the warp tunnel. Additionally, the boost mechanic doesn't work at all. 0/5. Loved this game as a kid, but it's broken.

0 - stars. I am having the same crash issues on startup as others have. I have tried multiple solutions from the forums, but nothing has worked. I have asked for a refund as a result. Even if any of the solutions did work, bottom line, a game sold from a digital storefront should be able work right out the gate with little to no outside adjustments. Any game released on a digital storefront that requires digging through/altering files or other outside assistance is a fundamental failure. For those of whom the game does work for, may you enjoy your oldschool experience. I just wish I could do the same :(
