STAR WARS™ Episode I: Racer

I still have my CD of this game. I played it a bit back on...what? N64? Eventually I also got a PC copy as well. Music is great. Gameplay is great. No rubber banding (that I can remember anyway). I loved upgrading my pod to top speed while enjoying the tunes. I didn't enjoy the movie a fraction of what I did playing this game. Glad to finally have it on GOG!

TAKE NOTE - The listed fixes people are posting do not work for everyone. There are MANY people in the community crashing to desktop without the game launching to any menus. I suggest waiting, right now it does not work well enough and you'd just be throwing $10+ into a lottery.

Driving a Pod-Racer is much fun. There are tons of different racers and many interesting tracks. The physics are innovative, though not to complex. The game itself is fun to play, it's not to easy, but it's definitly not a difficult game. It's for having a good time, for having fun, not to punish You. So don't expect to get to your limits, expect to have just the right amount of challenge to have a nice time :) ! I may have given it only four stars, if I was very picky. Could have been coming a star wars story with it, that would have been even more fun. Could have had some more challenge or more tracks. But to hell with it, I had fun, it's totally worth it and I like it!

It's all there as you remember, but with very few improvements and underwhelming graphics. You would expect a little more polished version but it's not the bad either.

i like how the pod racing from the movie was realised into this game, also nostalgia hits too ;)
