SpellForce 3 - The perfect blend between RTS and RPG!
It is the year 518. The rebellion of the renegade mages, known as the Mage Wars, has been quashed by the Crown. However, it was a Pyrrhic victory: Whole regions have fallen into anarchy, refugees roam the lands in search of shelter, and a mysterious, deadly plague called the “Bloodburn” has arisen and is spreading rapidly.
In times like these people cling to any sign of hope they can find. The Purity of Light, led by a charismatic man called Rondar Lacaine, claims that mages are the source of all misfortune – and that only the second coming of Aonir, the father of all gods, will return Eo to its former splendor.

Good RTS+RPG, too bad that you can't build in any place on map. The story it is above average, good graphics, I like how I can zoom and rotate camera(like in Sacred 2).
...twice the price. This game may feel good until you compare it with other RPGs launched last years. I've played Divinity: Original Sin, so to me Spellforce 3 feels just unfinished.
It says RPG - but there is no role-playing. Plot is mostly linear, choices doesn't matter. Character classes are tiny and doesn't give much tactical variety. There is no abilities usable in storyline.
It says RTS, but there is no strategy - all RTS missions has one scheme "take bases -> build army -> win mission". The game encourages you to manage resources, but to me it feels like developers just try to take the player's time with micro management because they can't offer anything else. And missions doesn't matter globally - they just advance you in the story.
Graphics are nice, but poorly optimized - PC requirements are way too high for this graphics compared to other games launched in last 5 years. Again, Divinity was 2 years ago, and it is mostly looks better with much lower requirements.
So, it you are Spellforce fan, you should like the game, but if you played some popular RPGs from last years, you might feel disappointed.
i bought this then it set for 2 months because i didn't like the controls. BUT they arn't bad and when it gets moving this game is really great. Great vioce acting, story and graphics and play!!!!!
The Role playing component of the game of what I have seen so far is engaging and fun. I can not in anyway understand why the RTS component is a thing. It is frustratingly underwhelming, proving more of annoyance than adding anything to the experience. After a few hours I have given up on even trying to move forwards in the campaign because of it. I wish I could get a refund. instead I will leave a mediocer review to warn others to read reviews around the system. I enjoy both the RPG and RTS genres, yet this has left me sorely dissapointed.
