A fun story!
Can't say much without giving anything away, so I'll just say that the game subverted my expectiontions and I thoroughly enjoyed it! :-)

Go back to the storeYou're on a path in the woods, and at the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin is a Princess.
You're here to slay her. If you don't, it will be the end of the world.
She will do everything in her power to stop you. She'll charm, and she'll lie, and she'll promise you the world, and if you let her, she'll kill you a dozen times over. You can't let that happen. Don't forget, the fate of the world rests on your shoulders.
You're not going to listen to him, are you? We're supposed to save princesses, not slay them...

A bit short, but still reasonably fun
I really appreciate the human element to this game, in a sea full of AI generated, procedural garbage. The voice acting and hand drawn environments are very charming. I'm glad the game wasn't as scary as I was expecting it to be, otherwise I probably wouldn't have finished it. All in all, I think it's worth the $15 I paid for it. If you're expecting to be terrified and like horror games, then expect to only raise an eyebrow in moderate surprise if you play this game. I'm a big coward, and nothing about this was particularly scary, but that was welcome for me, personally.

Love and Hate at the End of the Universe
This is one of the best games I have played in a long time. Without spoiling too much I would say stick to a single save slot, and avoid starting over or picking a different route/branch until after the credits roll.

Tremendously Impactful
Slay the Princes is possibly my favorite visual novel. The writing is amazing, the art resonates with me, the voice acting is superb, and good god is the music better than it has any right to be. This is a game I would wholeheartedly reccomend. Also I think the princess is really pretty (in most variations). :3

Amazing experience
I'm not a big visual novel fan, which is what Slay the Princess is. I wasn't "super" into the art style initially. I'm SO glad I tried it anyway. The art style and music are very thematic, it works and is super immersive. The voice acting is SUPERB. The game mechanic/plot comes out of left field and is very compelling. You want to dig deeper, you want to explore how you can navigate the story. I binged it in a couple days, and I don't think there's a lot of room for replay, but I will say I feel a void now that I've more or less "completed" it. Hit me hard in my feelings, and I think that will stick with me for a good while. tl;dr: Highly recommend, even to those that don't consider themselves visual novel enjoyers.
