Project Warlock

If you're a big fan of Doom and Wolfenstein games then you will really love this.

Once again, the indie scene proves that old school shooters are not dead. Project Warlock comes onto the scene and immediately differentiates itself with the bold choice to avoid the z-axis entirely. While this news may send you reeling into some flashbacks of spending far too long backtracking and searching for keys in Wolfenstien 3D or some of its other contemporaries, Project Warlock's levels are put together in a way to naturally lead the player from key to door with minimal backtracking or getting lost. The game doesnt just boast good level design, as it's unique weapon and spell selection, bumping music, and oddly appealing visuals all punch above their weight as well. This is a must buy for only $12, and anybody the least bit curious should do themselves a favor and pick this game up.

I did not like the art style at all. It just looks ... weird and ugly. The enemies just look goofy like monsters drawn by a six year old. The game also seems to have an identity crisis. Warlock implies fanatasy - as in Heretic & Hexen. But it emphasizes guns. Didn't really care for that mash up. You can't save the game as you please. It wants to be a "retro" game, but all these retro shooters had a save game feature.

in three words, OMG!!! Like WoW. Here we go!!! Graphics: Crispiest Visuals in a FPS of this Genre Ever. you can change the Graphics to your taste (to an extent) "IMHO" 1080P is all you really need. Music: Like Totally Cool Dudes/Dudettes Gameplay: Reminds me of Doom/Witchhaven/(a little)Heretic. Controls: Customize them Dude. (Mouse Could use come more sensitivity Range) If you like DooM (or still love and play it like I do) you'll like this game.

This game fully captures the fast paced excitement of old-school FPS games. It adds in some RPG elements for customization & individuality. The gameplay, graphics, atmosphere and music are all outstanding. To think that this game was made by such a small indie studio is truly impressive. The level of detail put into the game shows the dedication of the company. I mean, when you fire the shotgun, discharged shells bounce around on the ground. Five stars, outstanding.
