Project Warlock

This game seems apparently a simple Doom clone, but that is actually much much deeper, with original gdr mechanics: Every time you finish a level, you'll be teleporting to the main hub ( called workshop ) where you can buy spells, upgrade weapons and climb level (with ability points). Also very nice graphics in pixel art and lightning effects, level design and soundtrack. This game was created by a 19 year old boy. Unbelievable! P.S: If they put support for mods or a levels editor, it would be perfect

Seriously love this, I don't really use GOG often but this being a GOG exclusive (and the upcoming Witcher spinoff) got me onto here. Anyway, it's really really good and it honestly takes me right back to the 90's. Although I wish the FPS wasn't capped at 60.

Sometimes you just want to run fast and mow down hordes of demons. This game gives you several hours worth of that for a very fair price tag. I managed to play through it on standard in just under six hours with a few deaths, though I did not methodically search for every single secret. The soundtrack is also excellent. My only real complaint is the some of the levels are incredibly poorly lit, forcing you to fire more or less blindly into the darkness. You have a spell that turns your left hand into a light source, but you cannot use it and wield a weapon at the same time. Also, don't play the game if sewer levels make you irrationally angry, I guess?

Didn't know this game existed until today and bought it mostly out of curiosity. If you enjoy playing GZDoom, you'll enjoy this. Plenty of oldschool charm that isn't shy about wearing its inspirations on its sleeve. Having a blast so far! It's great to see that Unity takes to this kind of game well (I may have bought it for my own research as I am at the planning phases of a project and am trying to decide if Unity is the right engine for it). Overall, this little gem nails the oldschool look and feel, and I highly recommend it if you like this kind of thing. Nailgun is love, nailgun is life

I've had a change to play Project Warlock and it really is old school FPS with a difference. The graphics, it kinda set's it apart and so far I've played 20 minutes and it's ok. Yeah
